So true stardust. There are some really abrupt resonses to people who come onto the compaints forum looking for a bit of sympathy when things have gone wrong. The normal response seems to be - you should have known better.
If they had known better they wouldn't have ended up on this forum in the first place !
Many people do not sit around on travel forums for days on end.
As you say no wonder the forum could be said to be dying. Most new blood will come from the complaints forum with people who might choose to stick around after they have got through whatever travel ordeal has taken place.
What were we supposed to say? The basic argument was unreasonable plus at least one innocent business may have had it's reputation damaged via this site. The replies may not have been what he wanted but the only other option would have been for a Mod to delete the post completely.
If someone has a problem and comes on HT for help they get it. If people insist on using HT just to have a moan then what are we supposed to do? The whole tale is full of holes so perhaps someone can tell those of us being accused what we should do?
Now let us consider the OP and this topic.
They have posted twice only. First time on 27 July and second time on 28th in reply to the first answer posted by MarkJ.
They have not visited the site since. So how can we have offended them. Indeed I will go so far as to say I am offended by the OP.
If they cannot be bothered to come back then why should we waste our time.
