Helen if I were you I'd buy a small Johnsons Baby talc and take that, as you say white powder in your case may look a bit funny
It is not always easy to find the small size but perhaps look in a chemist rather than a supermarket.

The cream-based deodourants like Dove work even better! For those of us who aren't blessed with legs like Kate Moss's, a quick dab on the upper, inner thigh area means you can wear a skirt in the hottest and most humid of weather and still avoid chafing. I used to end up wearing trousers a lot in summer but no more! Bliss!
and just to add that you can prise the lids off the talc containers and decant talc in or out depedning whether you're trying to make it lighter or refill it......
is the cream based deodrant, actually a cream? it may seem a daft question, but i want to make sure i am looking, for the right thing, because if it works even better, then i'll definately give it a go.for me its a godsend!!

Yes it is - it comes in a mushroom shaped container! You turn the bottom and a squidge of cream comes up through the centre of the top of the mushroom which you then rub over wherever you want it. I've found it the best because unlike the roll-on ones you don't have to wait for it to dry.

thanks again tracy
Oh my god, what a fantastic tip. Will try this the next time we get any hot wether, I use the mushroom shaped dove all the time.

Thanks for that you lot. Isn't it amazing what you can find out on these forums. I use the Dove deoderant all the time but wouldn't have thought about this idea.
Regarding the talc in small containers it does sound a bit mad but I put it in those little sprinkler drums you get with instant cappuccino sachets to sprinkle the cocoa powder! The cap can be removed with the side of a knife and the best way to fill it in is to fold a piece of paper in half, pour some talc on the paper and then pour it in. I know this sounds a bit of an effort but its amazing what you will do to save space! Though if this Dove cream works I may never have to do it again
Hi Caro! I'm a bit wary about decanting into a small container. Have you ever been stopped at security? I did find small pots of baby talc at the weekend but they're still very heavy. My toiletries already weigh a ton & I certainly don't want to cut back on my clothes.
A company called Lush , sell powder in a tin. I always get the one called 'Silky Underwear '. It contains cornstarch which is finer than talc and its brilliant if you get heat rash,in fact I've found that it fab for all types of rashes !
Thanks missdiva I'll certainly do that, but I am going to try the Dove as well.
Well I've bought the Dove cream deoderant so now I'm waiting for the hot weather to try it out.
