Hi going to Bulgaria for the first time in August (staying at Albena beach club) and wondered if anyone can tell me what the snorkling is like at Albena Beach...well in the sea but you know what I mean!!
If its not a good spot for snorkling it will save us taking all the gear on holiday!!!!
I would be grateful for any info.
Thanks
Lynne
There is a diving centre in Albena, so one assumes that it should be fine for snorkelling as well.

Baldur, Thanks for the info (on the diving centre) looks as if we will get to snorkle after all. Roll on August!!!
The beach in Albena itself is gently shelving for about the first 100 metres or so, with, consequently, little to see. To get out far enough to see anything decent, you will need to go out on a boat; you will probably find the dive school a good place to start asking.
