Has anybody stayed at these apts and if so can they please tell me their opinion on them I've booked for a 1 bed apt and was wondering does anybody know where the apts are situated (ie front, back or side of building) as there are only 12 apts but 19 studios. Thanks

Myself and fiancee stayed at Socrates II in Sept 2005, July 2006 and have just booked again to go Sept 2007. Unable to advise on which side 1 bed apartments are on as for last two years have stayed in studios (once on road side/ other on front overlooking pool ). Have like you booked 1 bed apartment this year but unsure where located but not bothered. Whichever side you are located am sure you will have a great time. Accommodation is spotless, rooms cleaned daily, staff very friendly. Plenty of room around large pool so no fighting for free sunbeds. Actually on edge of Malia but on quiet street away from all the hustle and bustle.
Really excellent place to spend a holiday. The only one bad point is that if you require airconditioning it is quite expensive ( if i remember correctly i think about 100 euro per fortnight). So far we have managed to do without. Apart from that little moan this accommodation cannot be faulted and is by far the best place we have ever stayed hence the reason we are returning later this year for the third year running.
