Just returned from our 4th visit to the Socrates where we enjoyed yet another wonderful stay with glorious hot weather the whole fortnight. Last time we were there was in Sept' 07 and glad to report that the accommodation is still as good as before. Rena the lovely girl was still there working the bar during the day whilst the night time bar was worked by a great guy called James. The previous 3 times we were there the night time bar had been worked by the well liked George but from reading other reviews we already knew that he had left after the 2007 season. Myself and my fiancee were shocked however to learn from Rena and James that George has since died after an accident on his bike in 2009. R.I.P. George, we will always remember the good times and laughs you gave us, you will be greatly missed.
