has anyone stayed in or near St george?
We are hoping to book a villa for next oct and wanted to know what the restaurants are like
Thanks
Lou
It is lovely there but there is not a large choice of restaurants. However, if you are hiring a car then Coral Bay and Pegeia are within very easy reach.
The fish taverna overlooking the harbour near to the church at St. George's is said to be excellent but I have never eaten there myself yet. It is also fairly close to the Viklari (the last castle) tavern which does a great barbecue lunch. Simple food but good value and good quality with amazing views.
I take it that you do mean St. George and not the area near to the St. George hotel also with a church called Agios Georgios. This area is nearer to Paphos.

Yes I did mean St George village.
We have booked a Villa with pool and hottub for end next oct, looks really nice, en-suite to all 4 beds and balconies to all too.

Not sure you'll need the hottub though even in October but you may do ...
You will also be very close to the Akamas peninsula there which is lovely.
