I have read some reviews about these two hotels and it seems like Sol Costa Dorada is not a sol hotel and they even have their own website which points out that it belongs to f&g hotel chain which only has about three hotels. I have therefore started considering Sol Piramide. Is it a good hotel? I am now confused and neel some help especially from thosse who have visited Saou and seen these hotels.

Hi,

I haven't been there but I was put off by the reviews. I'ts a newish hotel apparently but once I read the reviews I decided to book the Delfin Park instead. Have you thought about changing the hotel?

:) Hi i looked at the up to date reviews on the hotel that you are going to, so that I could see if it was any better, but the evening meals are split. You either get allocated your meal at 7 o'clock or 8.30 and you do not know what time you are going to get till you get there, and you have to keep that time all the holiday. You are also allocated a seat which you are required a keep for the duriation of your stay. so if you get 7pm and miss it you can not go to the 8.30 one so i think it would make me feel rushed, but thankyou for your reply :thanks

Hi Mrs Preston,
We have just come back from the Delfin Park hotel & you can change your mealtime when you get there,we did. Once changed though you have to stay on this time for the duration of your holiday, but it is worth it as the hotel is really good.We chatted to a couple who were staying in the sol piramides and they said it wasn't brilliant, they spent a lot of the time in the delfin and around the delfin pool area. They said when they came back they would definitley book the Delfin Park.

Hi Serena,

What happens if you miss your allocated mealtime due to excursions? Do you have to sit with strangers or are there tables for 2? Also if you are allocated the 7pm sitting, for example, do you have to be there at 7 on the dot or can you go in any time between 7 and 8?

Thanx

Hi Mrs Preston,
You can go into the dining room about 15 mins after designated time, but no later as they have to set it all up for the next sitting. As for the late trips, I have never been on one that came back too late for a meal.I have had to go straight to the dining room off the coach though. You can opt to have lunch instead of evening meal if you let them know you wont be in for it the previous day.You can also get a packed lunch I think if you book it the day before instead of evening meal. All the tables are to seat 4, but if you are a couple on your own, you will be given a table to yourselves .I hope this helps.
