im prob telling you what you already know but as it is my first visit i was quite exited at the news i do not need to take beach towels with me, what a difference that will be in my suitcases with 5 of us i usually take 10 beach towels i emailed the hotel to check and yes its true
hmm louise-lancs, can only think thak that you must not have the right programme on your computer (whatever that might be) - any of you computer bufffs out there got any idea?
Whatever, take my word for it the place looks fab. Went to Sharm last year, got tickets for the towels which you exchanged every morning either at the pool or on the beach and then handed them back each evening - excellent. So you definitely wont need to take towels and also when we went in Sept/Oct it was so warm in the evenings we didnt need any jumpers etc until we landed back at Gatwick so dont waste any room on "just in case clothes" Dont know about Taba but a local guy said in Nabaq bay where we stayed last year that it hadn't rained for 18 years!!! and I must admit every day for the fortnight we were there dawned with blue skies and not a cloud in sight and remained like it till sunset. PERFECT!!!

Hi Louise
I can't find any red dots either, but never mind the hotel will be great, i think it's near to Swisssinia's hotel cos its only 14km from the Hilton at Nuweiba so we will call in and say hello to the staff (whats left of them at the Hilton I mean).Only eight weeks to go(sigh).

I have sussed out what you need to do to be able to see the Hotel in all its splendor, Download Java software, just look on any free download sites and you will find it. The hotel looks/is fabulous can't wait.
Cheers
Pete (also in Lancs)

We are going with First Choice, flying out on the 11th of July. So we will have to meet up at the bar. Have you been to Eygpt before, we went Hurgarda 2 years ago.
Who are you going with?,
We are going on our own.. our youngest of 4 of is 18. So for the last 2 years we been free agents. Doesn't seem the other day since the packing seemed to consist of buckets spades dummies and comfort blankets.

Not that we are counting or anything
I guess I'll see you on the flight then, I bet you will be doing the same as me looking around and thinking I wonder which 1 is Knitter46 or on your case I wonder which 1 is Ola. I will be easy as that is what Steve calls me Ola short for Nicola.
how long ago did you book your holiday?
Ola.

We original booked for LT Grand Azure in Sharm de sheikh last year flying out on the 6th of july....3 weeks ago they changed the flight time( only by 2 hours)but gave us the chance to ammend out booking The more I had read about the Grand Azure I was not sure it was the right Hotel for us. I think it is more geared for the young families. It is a very large Hotel and The Brits Out numbered by Russians which reading the reports are very rude.... Don't get me wrong I am sure we would of loved it but as they were offering a chance to ammend the booking we jumped at the chance and also got a refund of £515 as this hotel was a lot cheaper.
Plus by changed the date the hubby assures me He will not miss a very Important match England are playing on the 9th of july the likes of which has not been seen since 1966
I have been trying to looking at some of the trips on offer from the Taba region. Do you normal do a few trips when you are on holiday or do you stay hotel based ?
Well its nearly midnight as I am typing this So soon be able to knock another day of our countdown.

Hi Knitter
Taba is a very good position to go on numerous trips, you can go to St Catherines monastery its not far away its where moses burning bush was kind of a half day trip, you can also climb the mountain at midnight to see the sunrise, not for the faint hearted. You can also go to the dead sea in Israel. Taba is at the border of Eilat, also Petra is a fantastic trip all the way to Jordan, the last two set off very early 5:00am and you get back at about 8:30pm long trips but great. You can also fly to Cairo from Taba and do the Pyramids either one or two days for about £200 if my memory serves me right.
If you are staying one week don't try to do too much as you won't get the benefit of what the hotel has to offer, we have done all these trips over a period of five or six holidays to Taba ( I think we like it there), so if you want a laid back relaxing week watching the world go by nice people good food and if you can snorkel amazing fish and you don't have too go far away from the shore you have hit the spot, seven weeks for us to go and counting.
