Hi Everyone
I am new to this forum and really hope you can help me.
I am hoping to travel to Sorrento for 5-7 nights at the end of April / beginning of May and I am looking for recommendations.
1. Flights
Ideally would have liked to go with asyJet for cost reasons but they haven't released summer flights from Stansted yet - any suggestions? Live in the Midlands but happy to fly Manchester or London.
2. Hotels / B&B
I would like a hotel in the centre of Sorrento as we don't want to hire a car but again price is a key consideration. Are there any reasonably priced hotels in the centre of Sorrento that would offer only B&B?
2. Weather
Are we likely to have lovely sunshine that time of year?
Have travelled to Lake Garda on several occasions and really fell in love with it - so hoping that Sorrento will be as charming.
Would really appreciate any hints, tips or advice.
Many thanks
Kansel
If you can go from Gatwick there are some early bargains available to Naples just now flying with B.A. You'd get your meals and drinks on board also.
Flight Departing Gatwick Wed 26 April 2006, £175.00 and thats returning on 3 or 4 May
Total price: £175.00 GBP and thats for 2 adults yes 2!!!!!!!
The hotel Nice in the centre of Sorrento will probably be your cheapest accomodation but rememebr you only get what you pay for.
Try this link for some info on the hotel

Prices can be reasonable but in Sorrento you deffo get what you pay for, most of the centrally located hotels are pretty pricey but I have to say that they are usually worth it. If you are after something pretty cheap then you will probably need to be looking at accomodation a liitle bit further out.
Sorrento is not the cheapest place in the world to stay but it is certainly one of the most beautiful and is also a pretty good base for visiting Amalfi, Capri, Pompei, Herculaneum etc
