Hi, because of the high capacity of ex pats on the costa del sol december 25th is very much celebrated, u will probably be able to book ur xmas dinner pretty much in any english owned restaurant. The spanish also celebrate dec 25th but their main xmas day is jan 6th, apart from perhaps a parade or fiesta of some sort i would doubt anything much will go on. Ive been here in spain 6 years now and dec 25th seems to be the main day, hope thats answered ur question.
Thanks for that but I've booked to go out on 10th December now so won't be there at Christmas. Maybe next year.....
Christmas & New Year are listed here along with all of the costas other fiesta
We went to Benalmadena for xmas 2003. Weather was lovely and those heated pools,,, heaven. Xmas isnt celabrated like us English but, yes you will get your xmas meal if you book it 1st. It can work out quiet dear but its just like our own xmas dinner. You will only see a few xmas trees scattered around due to the Spanish celabrating the 3 kings at the begining of Jan. We enjoyed ourselves and all came home with a tan. Enjoy it, we did.
The Spanish put A LOT more emphasis on 6th of January. We wrote an article on this subject recently which you can read by clicking the following link:
