Hi
We are going to orlando again this year, whilst we are there it is our 20th Anniversary, I am looking for somewhere really special to eat, not your usual sizzlers & Tgi's type place. we like these type's but want to do something really special.
Does anyone have any idea's / suggestions, i plan on arranging a Limo for transport so distance isnt really a problem.
cheers
gazz
There is also Salt Island again on International Drive, we really wanted a substantial meal after eating junk food for 10 days - this was the place I opted for Pork Chops and they were huge even by american standards - about the size of a large T Bone steak Yummy!!!
I have never been, but as i say, ive heard brilliant stories about it. We have personally walked around the resort one evening and it was beautiful and very romantic.
There's reviews here and also a menu:

We love to Kobe restaurant it has a Tappanyaki table (where they cook the food on a hot plate attached to your table) it is a really different dining experience. They have a website, have a look we go everytime we are in Florida.
Liz.
i'd aslo like to break up the usual american food (which i love ) ,but for a woman, its nice to be treated, i'm an old romantic at heart haha
When iwent 5 years ago, i remember going to somewhere in downtown disney called the crabhouse, the restaurant was on a boat?
if i remember correctly this place was a nice restaurant, if a bit dear, i also went to an italian in downtown disney, whcih i remeber being quite lovely, this was also the same restaurant, where as i ordered what we wanted to eat, he asked me,
"Sparkling or still" totally out the blue, so i replied "still?" just thinking it was complimentary water, upon recieving the bill noticed he had charged me 15 dollars for this bottle of water haha, i didn't mind really, if i was in england i would've, but just saw it as my sort of mistake, me and my girlfriend had to laugh at the sheer cheek of it, the meal was lovely by the way, but it was quite pricey as you can see from the price of the bottle of water
its nice to go all out once or twice on holiday though, especially for your better half
i just read the V&A is about 400-500 for a meal for two with wine, very dear, but its nice for an anniversary or something, more than iwould expect to spend on a meal abroad though, but go for it if money's no problem because not one person has given a bad review.
