Thnx 4 the reply & the info.

Seems July is the wettest period of the year, although the temps are high (30).

Do you think I would be wasting my money at this time??

I'll leave that for someone else to answer as I've never been there. Really only you can decide though ;)

Thnx Pippy.
My motto is 'if in doubt, don't', unless someone else can provide some assurance.
Potential to spend a lot of money just to get wet.

Have to say I agree with you but then I'm a real lover of hot, dry Egypt!

Just back from my trip to St Lucia - so there bang in the middle of July 2008. It was hot hot hot - with only a small shower, or as the locals call it "liquid sunshine". Wonderful sun, from sunrise till sunset. The north of the island at Rodney Bay area, is more likely to see less rain at any time of the year and may have a small amount more sunshine than locations and resorts, further south, near the 'rain forests' which, by their nature generate rain! Missing it already.

Read this thread ages ago, knowing I was going in July and I fully intended to pop back and let you know how it went.

Thanks Alice for the post, and pleased the weather was good for you. I'll bear StL in mind for next year now!
We decided not to go to StL, but went to Mexico instead and had a fantastic time.
Thanks again.
