Prague Amsterdam and Benidorm seem to be the favourites now. Book the flights as soon as they come out and you can get them really cheap we flew to Prague with Easy Jet and cost 28 pound return and really cheap when you get there, night life buzzing.

Rachel,

Malga / costs del sol area is a possible with a £200 buget. Flights to malaga are faily expensive though - cheapest will probably be easyjet - I guess the minium will be about £100 as July is peak season. i paid £101 each for flights to Malaga over easter and £85 for 5 days in September. prices are highest on Fri/Sat/Sun as well which is obviously when you want to go. I booked my summer flights with easyjet around the 15th December last year so sign up to easyjets newsletter to ensure you know when the flights are realeased for sale.

As for accommodation, probably can't help much as we always stay in 4+star hotels that usually cost around £70 per room per night so I guess you'll be able to find a fairly decent 3 star in the main centre of torremolinos within your budget.

Majorca - Palma Nova/Magalluf will be within budget if you book the flights early enough. Remeber with the low cost airlines you need the names and full payment at the time of booking. This is always the awkward part getting the money upfront off the friends.

Barcelona another good destantion a combination of city and beach.

Kind Regards

thanks for all your help. I think next step is to get names and money off everyone, write a list of options and wait for the cheaper flights to be released later in the year.

Thought about Ireland?

Was all due to go to Dublin for my mate's, but his Irish friends over there say the REAL stag doo destination is Galway! It's where all the Irish lads go.

If you believe in the maxim that the best Chinese resteraunts are the ones the Chinese eat in then where better than where the Irish go to drink!

Cheap flights from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham etc.

I've been three times now, as well as Prague, Budapest etc, and Galway offers a great time. Bieing Ireland they're used to the lads getting a bit bladdered, and don't mind as long as it's good Craic.

Look out for the fishermans boozers on the Bay...open 24hrs! (ouch, still remember that hangover! )

Cheers! Ge.

Hi all, I'm after some suggestions from you please.

Trying to organise a mates stag do for the first week in March 2007. Just after some general ideas of places to go to.

Looked at the possibility of one of the Canary Islands, for somewhere warm. Don't know if anywhere else would be nice at that time of the year???

And also looked at places like Riga in Latvia.

What we are after is somewhere that we can chill out, have a good time and let our hair down, no doubt a few of the lads will be loud and that after a fair few beers, so not looking for somewhere where people are very strict about stuff like that.

Tough criteria I know, but if anyone can offer any suggestions it would be appreciated :)
EDIT: Merged with previous similar topic, which may give you a few ideas to start off with

How about Newcastle - town centre easy to get to if you decide to fly up (cheap flights). If going by train, station centre of town, and so easy if you drive (straight up the A1). Lots of choice for hotels/B&B in town or just outside.

Hundreds and pubs, clubs, restaurants in one area, great for stag and hen weekends. Everyone who goes to Newcastle Town, goes there for one thing - to have a good time. And the geordies are extremely friendly.
