Staying Logged on to HT

Hi, I've always been automatically logged onto HT and never had any problems, however the last couple of weeks, everytime I want to view a forum I seem to need to log on or I can get onto HT no probs and veiw a forum then when I go into a different forum it wants me to log on again, anyone know why this may be happening, it's never happend before in all the time I've been a member, thanks

Hi Shell,

Although I have not experienced the problem you are describing for myself, it has been reported by others that they, on occasions, have problems staying logged in too.

Will draw Van's attention to this topic so he may investigate it further next time he is online.

What address are you using? Holidaytruths.co.uk or holidayforums.co.uk?

I wasn't having problems staying logged on but I was wondering where all the little flashing suns had gone which used to tell me which posts were new since I'd last visited a forum. Thank goodness I read your post above, Mark. I'd changed my shortcut in Favourites to holidayforums and it was that that was causing the problem - now changed to holidaytruths again and problem solved. Many thanks! :lol:

same happens to me. login ok go to a forum ok when use the discussion forum link at top of page get logged out. probably 4/10 times
using http://holidayforums.co.uk/

If you change to using http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk you shouldn't have this problem.

Help

I have tried all suggestions and entry with both site names and still I am almost always logged out when i request to stay logged on. My problems have only started in the last few days.
Any suggestions please :?:

It has just started to happen to me and I have not changed any settings.

Just had to log in again to get on here now.

Oh dear! What a palaver! I've no idea what on earth Mark's talking about in the link above. I always thought that 'cookies' were something you ate! I've eventually been able to get back on by in effect re-activating a 2nd account I created the last time this happened but I'm 'really' SM! I've tried to get on by requesting a new password for this account (which is what worked with the SMa one) but it never arrived! If anyone in Admin can help me get this sorted i'll happily revert to the original account.

Well I did what Mark said to do & it worked fine last night, I stayed logged in. Now I have been logged out twice this morning & have just logged in again to see that Christmas has arrived. Bit early innit?
