hi dizzy, you should be ok in late august,most students have returned home by then but to be on the safe side you should try and avoid the cheaper hotels because this is where these people tend to stay,so no 2* or three * hotels,its going to be "hot hot hot" at that time of year,35c-40c so take plenty of sun block,otherwise,enjoy your stay in this lovely island.
