We've been to Gran Canaria in the past (2001 & 2002) and fancied Tenerife, but couldn't find accommodation close to / on the beach.
We ended up looking at Lanzarote and Fuertaventura, and plumped for Lanzarote, which looked like the resorts have more going on. We found a decent deal with Thomas Cook to the 'Hotel Grand Teguise Playa', on an AI basis with seaview room.
After discussing it at work, a colleague told me he;d been to that hotel (about 4 year ago) and said it was nice, as was the resort of Costa Teguise.
We are a family of 3 with son who will be 13 next year, so not looking for a 'kids' resort, but something that will hopefully have enough for us all to do ,and with a decent amount of shops/bars outside the hotel, if when/we want to venture out.
Cant wait. But if anyone has any advice/tips about Costa Teguise, or the hotel in particular, we welcome them all.
Cheers!
MJ
