On thursday 19 sept we go on our first Turkey holiday, we booked with Right Holidays, Sun Love hotel . I cant find any reports on the hotel or the firm, has anybody heard of either, Sun Love is supposed to be 1km from the beach in Marmaris centre. we are going anyway but !

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? I have looked at the website and the hotel looks really nice but as it only opened last year I have been unable to find a single review. Can anyone recommend? Thanks

If any one has stayed there can you let me know whats it like as i booked to go may 30th thanks

The Sun Love Hotel is situated on the Datca Road. As you come into Marmaris you approach the Pearl Statue and you then turn right onto the Datca Road. I live in Beldibi which is just behind the Sun Love Hotel. The complex opened in 2006 and is really beautiful. It has an olympic sized pool which I used nearly every day last summer, the only downside to the hotel was that it was all inclusive or half board. This meant the staff had a 'couldnt care less attitute' as they were not on a commission to get punters in to eat, obviously the food was provided in the costing of the holiday, also the staff were very slow and not particularly attentive. Also the entertainment was almost non existent. I did meet the owner of the complex and we had a discussion about these issues and he did seem genuinly concerned and welcomed my comments. If you want to go into Marmaris then you will need to catch a Dolmus as it is too far to walk and also the Datca Road is extremely busy traffic wise. Dont worry though, the hotel is set way back from the road so you wont hear any noise. Hopefully this year the staff issue will be resolved. The hotel is 4/5 star, has a hairdresser on site and free internet access. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Thanks Zenyep, I appreciate your honest comments I am a little concerned that the centre of Marmaris is not within walking distance as although we go have gone all inclusive we do like to eat out every night as the food is very good in Turkey and we was hoping some good restaurants would be nearby. (We like steakhouses mainly and have heard cousins and natalies is very good, can you recommend any restaurants?) I hope the owner has got the staff sorted out I am not too bothered about entertainment as like i said previously we like to go out in the evening.
My sister is also a shopaholic and needs to be near the shops, can you recommend some good handbag shops, we are looking for good quality copies of designer handbags? Copies of designer t-shirts?
Could you also get the hotels email address for me as i am unable to contact the manager by email on their web site.
