I Love L'oreal Solar Expertise Advanced Anti-Ageing Sunscreen especially the spray can version it's fantastic and despite using far more expensive brands I just adore this and wouldn't change to anything else ever again.
It sprays at any angle, smells delicious is not sticky and has lots of anti ageing properties, great tan every time and never burnt with it. it comes in many SPF's too but the 15 is my usual
Ive always bought expensive sun protection coz I thought it was sensible and I wasnt sure if I could trust the cheaper brands. However, my daughter starting buying Asda's own brand and I have to say it is superb. Cheap to start with and theyve usually got some sort of offer and a large range of Factors too. I'm buying that from now on! Avon is very good too.
I have just bought some more boots own with the insect repellant on a buy one get one free for our holiday in may, also, I never use any factor less than 15, start off with factor 25, tan slowly and don't burn, sorted !!!
Hi All, just wondering if anyone has seen Piz Buin lotions on offer anywhere. Got mine from Home Bargains last year around this time but have been in this morning and they only seem to have low factors, highest was a 10. If anyone sees it anywhere can you please let me know...I hate paying full price for it!
Hi nicJW
Thanks for the reply T. I haven't thought of ebay, will take a look
Have just been reading a review website about the Piz Buin In Sun Allergy range. I have used this for years having previously suffered from prickly heat I found it really suited my skin. From the reviews from last year it appears that the formula has changed and a lot of people who were ok with it before have come out in terrible rashes, some needing steroid treatment. I did use it last year but I suspect it could have been old stock as I bought it very cheaply from Home Bargains. Has anyone had any problems with it recently?
You are probably right about it being old stock from Home Bargains.
They buy lots of end of line/discontinued ranges from firms - that's why they can sell it on so cheaply.
(Not that I am complaining - I love that shop! )
Just thought I would let you know.
Thanks Milly Molly, I love that shop too That's probably why they only have the lower factors left I suppose. Don't know what to do now...whether to buy my usual Piz Buin or try something else? Either way it sounds like I'm going to risk a flare up of my prickly heat which I used to get really bad until I tried Piz Buin. Anyone got any other suggestions for lotions that are good for dodgy skin? In the past I've tried Ambre Solaire, Nivea, Soltan and had reactions to them. Used Coppertone years ago which was ok - do they still make it? It seemed to be the ones that are a bit thick and gloopy that didn't suit. Any suggestions? I don't go away until August so might experiment a bit before we go, if we actually get some sun for a change!
My auntie has prickly heat, and says the only product she can use is Piz Buin Anti Allergy! She's also reacted to the likes of nivea, ambre, soltan etc... There's a product I've seen called Simple which seems to be completly anti allergy, wonder if anyones tried that?
I've bought a Piz Buin continuous spray SPF 30 (it's in an aerosol can) in Tesco last week and we were so impressed with how it looked! Saw a NoAd one in the shopping centre yesterday, just wondering if anyone's used these sprays? How long does a large can last?
Yes I've seen the Simple range, I use their other products and am ok with them so might be worth a try.
This may be of some help
Anybody looking for Piz buin once a day should look on e-bay now,if I'm reading it correctly someone is selling 12x100ml for £34.95 +£ 10 postage,if you know anybody else who wants some you could split the cost, seems a really good deal,£3.75 for each.Tina.
I usually use the Boots Soltan SPF 30 on my face, its ok but I find it quite greasy and it can tend to give you watery eyes if you get it close or rub your eye. Can anyone recommend any other ones that may be worth trying, that arn`t too greasy or pore clogging.
Thanks
It is half-price at the moment £4.50 for 50ml.
Thanks I`ll take a look at the Avon website, never used Avon stuff apart from the bath oils. I know lots of friends use it and think its really good. Thats a great price.
I use piz buin radiant face and don't seem to have any problems with that, got some fairly cheap off e-bay last year,I'll be looking for some more soon.T.
Hi,just looked on e-bay,there are loads of different factors. I should think some of it will be last years stock, at least, if unopened it should be fine and for those of you who want the older formula should be just what you want.Tina.
Im off to turkey in july and have read with great interest all of the comments in this section about sun creams etc
I decided to get myself some of that elemis tan accellerator, ordered it from salonskincare . at moment its buy 1 get 1 free, 17.50 for 2 tubes of 125 ml
I live in republic of ireland and with delivery charge and exchnage rate it cost me 64 euro for 6 tubes, which isnt bad
Ordered it and it came 2 days later
I got some sun tan lotions at half price from our local supermarket here but they were still 12 euro at half price which i thought was veryexpensive
Am going to try maybe the boots ones that people have sugested on here, but do you think its wise to say use 1 brand for 1 week and another brand for 2nd week

Uusally go on a few times before i go away justy to get bit of base , ready for the sun
