Hi all.
Off to the sunzeynep in a couple of weeks. I am surprised that i have not seen any entries for it recently. I hope this is a good thing.
Can anyone who has been recently inform me if the international drinks are included in the all inclusive as it appears they were last year.
Has it recently been taken over by new management.
Would also appreciate any tips or advice anyone has to offer.
Thanks Les
Hi les .No the international drinks are not included in the all inclusive package ,they were last year but that was the only time .My family and I have been there five times now ,we love it ,me and the wife was there in june and my whole family are going back with us at the start of september .As for being under new owners well the story is that a russian tour company invested a lot of money for five years ,but i think that deal is finished shortly then it goes back to the real owners. The real name of the hotel is the sun zeynep ,but they call it otium zeynep ,,which i am reliably informed will be changed back when the Ivans have left .I think it is a gret hotel , but you will have to find that out for yourself. Get in touch with the bell captain ,his name is BIL AL , he is a great guy and will keep you right ,please tell him mr peter from scotland was asking for him and i will see him in september ,meanwhile if I can help you any other way please pm me or just post it on the forum and i will answer you , I am sure you will enjoy it.
oops
I just hope we dont get a bad stomach which we got in tunisia last year.
Will take plenty of meds but difficult with the children.
Is it a good idea to take plastic pint pots and what are the best drinks to try.
Les
Not one of us have ever had a bad stomache at the sun zeynep ,That dont mean it cannot happen just be prepared as you wouuld do anywhere else.Dont know why you would want to take plastic pint pots .The children will love it especially the water slides .
Im off to the sun zeynep on sunday for 2 weeks will write a full review and post some pictures on my return. I agree there has not been that many reviews for this hotel recently, there was loads this time last year.
I am sorry to say it is because of all the russians there .Only time there are a lot of Brits is around about september, There are one or two reports on trip adviser.
Sure you will be okay though.

I think you will find it a lot better in high season,as anne said there will be some bad points, but then again .If it was all brilliant then we would be paying a grande a week to stay there .
we were told the beer is served in the small plastic white cups and this was why we put about the pint pots is this not the case.
It looks like we are flying out when kap is coming back on the same sunday so unfortunately will not get to read the review.
Thanks Les
The turkish word for beer is bira but they know what you mean anyway ,just makes it sound better.iki bira two beers.
Enjoy

Bluepeter - are you sure you mean alcohol cocktails for the kids? Have visions of loads of drunken 5 year olds!!
OOPS prawn i meant non alcoholic cocktails ,to busy listening to the wife while typing.
Really looking foreward to it now especially as it rained all day today when holiday shopping. Not been to Turkey for eight years and then stayed in icemaler . Les
In that area there are a lot of different nationalities ,so there is a lot of currencies ,a lot of stuff is marked up in euroes . But I find it better to work with Y,T.L. It saves you changing from this to that and back again which means you lose out all the time . Best to take say couple hundred quids worth of lira with you and the rest in english tenners so you will have enough to get you started and then change it as you need it. There are exchanges in Kadriey and belek . Dont be tempted to change it at the hotel as the rate is a lot less, also they will take tenners but they must be untorn with no writing on them . At the markets you will get say three items for a tenner , pay with a tenner ,not a twenty as they will want to give the change in lira and you will always lose out ,not much but it soon adds up.
Les
Hi les ,havent done any snorkeling myself ,but i have seen quite a few others doing it ,so i would imagine it would be alright. i think the exchange is round about 2.6 ytl to the pound i usually work on the assumption its 2.5 ,thats a lot easier to work out ,it never really changes to much from that so every ten lira is four quid ,where are you flying from .
Hi ya
Have a good holiday les ,another four weeks before we go back ,starting to drag now .
Les
