they are on protaras main road, but there wasn't much traffic noise. our room was round the back of the hotel and it was fine noise-wise. apartments are basic, but clean and in a good location - ten min walk from main bars and restaurants, although theres a few restaurants right next to apartments. there is only a few apartments, but a decent size pool which means always plenty of sunbeds and space in pool. i would definitely go back to these apartments
cheers for prompt reply. That'll do for us

Anyone been to sweet memories Protaras recently that can give me some info...what are the apartments like..where they are situated...etc...i've read the reviews just wondered if anyone on heres been...
Hi welshmumsy! I goto Protaras 45 weeks tomorrow, so we will just miss each other! Not stopped at these apartments, but they are in a great location. The are no more than a 10 minute stroll to the beginning of the "strip". Near enough to enjoy all the bars, restaurants etc, but in a pretty quiet location. They are set back from the road, but dont worry about that. When we went to Protaras last year, we were also next to the road, but didnt find it a problem. Infact, you are probably set more back off the road anyway. When you are walking upto the "strip", there is a great Mini Golf place, which is right next door to a bar. If you have children, you can let them play in there while you have a drink, and still keep an eye on them! Flinstones restaurant is on the way aswell, which kids will enjoy, especially younger ones. They have a place in the back of the restaurant where they have toys, games, and just show cartoons. Parent heaven!! You will enjoy it im sure. xx
There are 10 of us going next year...4 adults + 6 children...17,15, 14,14,8 and a 3 year old..
what you have said sounds great...
the last time we stayed in Protaras we stayed at Ketsios and ate alot at Hippocampus is it anywhere near either of these.
Welshmumsy
There are 10 of us going to Protaras next year - 6adults and 4 children (13, 11, 7 and 6). There are many amenities for children - ive read that a Bowling alley has just opened in Protaras, which my kids, im sure, will want to goto next year! Just dont get carried away with all the Elvis impersonators! We are staying at the Andreotis, which are at the opposite end of the "strip" to you. Cant wait to go..........

I've read the reviews, but as I'm not very familiar with the Protaras area, what's the opinions on the Sweet Memories apts (can't remember seeing them mentioned here), against the Brilliant apts.
I am sure there on the top road towards Penera, the brilliant seem to get good reviews and are more in the centre of Protaras just set back from the main strip, i stayed in some called the Ketsios just across from the Brilliant and they werent very good.
Can't comment on the entertainment as we didn't see it, but from all accounts it was good. Helpful friendly staff, cleaners came every other day.
The only drawback was the groceries they leave in your apartment when you arrive. Some of the stuff was a godsend, but there was way too much of it and a pain to have to pack it all up (no bags left to do it with!) and take it back to reception. Good idea for a family though who would use a lot of it.
We had a studio and paid for air c0n, but it was pretty useless. Better off hiring a fan instead. We had a studio on the far side looking over to Protaras, so had a sea view to the left and Ayios Elias to the right - lovely. There was some noise occasionally from the bars below, but no hassle really.
All in all, a good hotel to stay in for the price!
Kezzabelle would you add your review of these apartments by
Apolgies Glynis, I thought I already had, I certainly intended to!
Many thanks
We wern't going to go on hols this year as getting a lot of work done to the house, but im so jealous of anyone going away lol
Have seen a good deal for the sweet memories apt 1st week in oct (200-250 ish for a week) cant afford to go back to the Sunrise Beach!
I know these get good reviews but how big is a studio apt? and should we pay to upgrade to a 1 bed (just the 2 of us). Also is there car parking if we hired a car again?
Edited to add - sorry when does Protaras/Pernera start closing down for the 'winter' season? Is 15 - 22nd Oct too late to go?
Thanks again for your help
Jaime C
Anyone know if the apartments have an email address yet? I havn't been able to find one.
