i have booked this hotel for xmas 2007,can you tell me how hot/cold the weather will be.will the sea and pool be warm to swim in,what about the mozzies-me my wife and 13 year old son really looking forward to it,normally stay at the coral,but have only been in the summer for the past 3 years so would like as much info as poss,thank you lucking forward to meeting the famous alvin

We didn't get a promotional email either, but we did get one asking us which room we wanted. In short, we don't want to have the room below Rog mate for fear of being kept awake all night with his and Carrens' so-called Olympic marathons.

As luck would have it, Ev. Mate, we're a couple of rooms along from you and upstairs. Carren felt we should have a higher vantage point in case Wendy gave the international distress signal, to be sure we'd see it.
I dont know why Alvin feels we need six rooms to ourselves though, my snoring isn't that bad!

Well the cheek of it.... I do not cheat badly at monopoly ! I am pretty darn good at it ! If some of the other players pay me rent when they land on their own properties that's their fault !

I did send the email out to almost all my email address book but most of the emails bounced back !

I am very chuffed at being so suddenly at the top of that list... to be honest, we are not some super luxurious ultra deluxe resort but a very simple, little resort hotel with a small, friendly, team of very pleasant staff and their pretty crazy boss. We have our own little, quaint and rather outdated way of doing things here but if our guests go away having had an enjoyable and relaxing stay then I guess we ve managed to get the job done.

If you like a really quiet and relaxing time, with no music and very few souls on the beach, great snorkelling, simple and yet spacious accommodation, music from the 60s and 70s in the pub, and food served at the table, then you ll feel at home. If you like a good game of chess, monopoly, scrabble etc and are happy to spend the time chatting about the good things in life, such as Spurs winning a match or two, and if you don t need to see large crowds of people around you and don t need to be entertained by discos, bars, shows and animation teams then you should feel pretty happy.

The weather last winter, especially at the end of December, was pretty cruel. But to make up for that we are having a great summer ! The pool will be cold as there is no heating - but what is cold ? Afterall, it will range between 14 and 20 C depending on the time of the day. Swim early morning and it will not feel too cold as the air temperature will be the same or less !

Now we have reached top spot... do you think I can relax a bit and spend a bit of time with the guests snorkelling, playing chess, cheating at monopoly ??????

No way........... !!!!!!!! I am gonna do that ALL THE TIME !!!!!!!!


P S - Just read Maxine's review... she can talk - she won that night ! Not surprising really - as she works in a bank she was banker that night. Never seemed to run out of money.......... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

But that was a great night.... I would nt even let the guests go to bed till after 3.15 a.m. !!!

I'm sorry that I mentioned the email now, Alvin! Thank heavens I didnt mention the vouchers for free booze that came with it!

Well - Jen likes Monopoly and Ali enjoys Scrabble - & just remember Mr Swiss, our eldest daughter is now an English teacher (landed her first job this week) and we shall have her phone number to hand, so no cheating...
