No doubt about it if the sun is out you'll need the suncream but the evenings can cool and there is always the chance of rain too! So I'd say factor 10 for the day and warmer clothes (jeans or similar & a coat) for evening.
I was over there for Easter last year and we had a bit of everything although it was still much better than the weather in the UK!
Sounds better than the uk in August!!
Thinking of going to Tarifa in the summer. Children keen on surfing. Any information about Tarifa greatly appreciated.
The town is very nice, a busy port with ferries to Morocco. Nice bars, tavernas and a nice old town make this a great place to go. There are lots of campsites further along the main road aswell, which do get busy. There is definately a 'surfy' feel to the whole place. Obviously, this is because it has one of the most constant winds in Europe!!
You'll love it!
Just to let anyone know, it was warm in the day (20 degrees ish) and cold at night. Definately coat weather (scarves & hats for the Spanish!) as there is a really cool wind, but lovely all the same. Tarifa is a cool place to go with awesome kiting!
Thanks for that joeyc, I'm heading off to that area (up the coast from Tarifa) on Friday and looking forward to a little bit of sunshine!

I think the main sufing season is through the winter months but if you are not serious surfers, anywhere along that coast is good for messing about in the waves.
We like la Barrosa beach as it's 6kms long, sandy and you can choose to be on the developed resort part which does get busy in the summer or out of the resorts where it's still beautiful with the occasional beach bar but definitely quieter.
Graham, try this website for lots of information on surfing on the Costa de la Luz I think the main sufing season is through the winter months but if you are not serious surfers, anywhere along that coast is good for messing about in the waves.

Thanks for the information and link
It must have been at least mid 70's there, on the 2nd April!!! as they didnt get the cold wind (the Poniente?) that Tarifa did. Really nice weather!
