Hi,
Its the lotto based competition where you can win a supercar etc
Anyone ever bought a ticket or known a winner from the Best of the Best stands situated at various airports?
Never bothered myself, besides how would you get your luggage in a Ferrari ??lol
never been even tempted to buy one. The tickets are really expensive. Can't say I've ever seen anyone buying a ticket either.
I've wound the sales people up once or twice! The look on their face when I said with some honesty thay "my brother's neighbour had one of those and found loads of faults" and then proceeded to list some. Had I been totally honest I would have mentioned that he was a test driver for the maker, it was a preproduction car and it was his job to find faults. Still, it passes the time when you've checked in early and stops them pestering other people!
Have to confess, I bought tickets last year and this year; saddo or what? My son always mithers me into submission. I think it cost £40 for 4 goes (3 for the August draw and 1 for the September draw). Would be interested to know of any winners, probably won't be me .
I can think of better things to spend £40 on!!!!pargaluvva wrote:I think it cost £40 for 4 goes
I know but I go into holiday mode and start doing a 'Viv Nicholson' at the airport :rofl.
They were obviously feeling the bite as tickets were reduced to £25 in airport we flew from. still wasnt tempted though!
Someone I knew won an Aston Martin on Dubai or Abu Dabi Airport (I'm not sure) a few years ago. He used it for a while but eventually sold it as he found running costs far too expensive. He bought a BMW for himself and something (again I can't remember) for his wife, took his wife on a round the world trip and still had some cash left over. I think the ticket cost $100. I've often been tempted when I'm hanging around on various airports but common sense has taken over. I'm not a lucky person and would rather spend the money on a nice meal.
expensive ornament - imagine how much it would cost to insure it????
I could always break hubby's hearty and sell it though.....
