I've read some posts about the land train that runs from the Old Town to the Strip in Albufeira. I know that it stops at the Brisa Sol, but can anyone tell me where it stops near the Strip please? We're staying at the Montechoro.
Also, is there a promenade where you can walk from the Old Town to the New Town, or is it just up via the Brisa Sol?
Cheers
The little train stops in a side road just off the strip, by the big road that seperates it into 2, there is no promenade that you can walk between the two areas, its either the back beach road, or on the beach or what we call the front road, which would be where the Brisa Sol is. The back road has a very steep hill so not advisable if your looking for a nice stroll!!!!
At the 'Strip' end, the name of the road, where the land train stops, is Rua Julio Diniz, which is just down from the crossroads and the Marrachino supermarket.
The montechoro is over the main road and at the top of the strip.
Depending on how quick you walk its about 5-10 mins away from the mini train stop.
The train is really good too cos you can get on and off at any stop you want all day.
