Hi All,
Now I apologsie for what is going to seem like a naive question (I seem to ask a lot of these ), myself and my partner are travelling from August onwards around asia (a month and a bit), New Zealand (a month and a half), Australia (a week) and dubai (a week).
Now with the current swine flu pandemic threatening to break out into a much more deadly strain and the media (whether or not it's just the media doing what the media do best - making a good story) predicting that we could see as many as 10000 cases per day. My question is do people think it's a good time to be away from our country?
Also, they've now seemingly decided to immunise the whole country and we probably won't be here.
Our next door neighbour developed Swine Flu a week before we went away (just got back), and we were more worried about catching it and losing our holiday than actually catching it. No worries about the actual Swine Flu at all.
If they do decide to do a programme of vaccination you can always catch up when you get back- the people most at risk will be vaccinated first anyway.
Given the fuss at overseas airports the return to the UK is very low key- a small sign at immigration only
