Thinking of trying brazil for xmas this year as it is featured in the thompsons brochure.
If anybody has been there espiecally the areas of via costeira or ponta negra and do you need visas.
hopefully get some replies.
Have been to Rio if that is any good!!!! We did not need visas.( Going back this October as we loved it!)
Any information will be appreciated as i am hoping to go from natal to rio money allowing but would be silly not to go to rio after hearing so much about it.
I wrote a hotel review but also added comments on Rio itself

You can get flights internally for about £330 each in December. I keyed in times over Xmas. ( I took it that it was from Natal)
you can fly from London to Natal for £770 each in December.( through Expedia and Air Portugal)
I have tried one brazilian airline at this moment of time cant recall if that was the one and thinking about it im sure that was the price i got as the other thing to consider is that this will be a peak time as well.
yes it really isn't a time of year when you will get bargains.
I read leather shoes are a good buy?
sorry Don't know that answer!
Thanks for the photo's and still remembering me, the photo of christ the redeemer looks hauntingly good.
I dont know if it is coincidence but on the bbc programme ' around the world in eighty treasures' when he visited the statue it was also very cloudy.
Sue
Thanks for that as stated before we have been quoted around £700 each for a two day trip from natal which obviously on top of the holiday price adds up but i know deep down i will be kicking myself if i dont go.
