greeneyedgal12,

The return journey is longer due to the prevailing wind direction. Outbound, you'll generally have winds helping you along but on the return, you'll be headng in to the wind so it slows you down. Your flights should be operated by a Boeing 757-200.

Hi, going to SSH on 9th May from EMA, any idea which aircraft it will be and reg number?
Thanks.

mickyf,

Please supply flight numbers when requesting aircraft information as there are often several flights. This ensures we get the correct flight information for you. EMA-SSH-EMA (assuming TCX5512/3?) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. Aircraft are rotated almost weekly so it's imposible to give a registration for the flight this far in advance. It makes no difference anyway, they're all the same inside.

GE0RDIE1,

Welcome onboard :tup
MAN-SFB-MAN (TCX472/3) are operated by an Airbus A330-200. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). This type has seat back IFE throughout.

christiger007,

MAN-DLM-MAN (TCX2822/3) are showing as operated by a Boeing 757-200 at the moment (no IFE). However, the Friday flight is often operated by the larger Boeing 767-31K/ER (winglets) with IFE. I'll know more in May.

Hi Daz

Asked befire and wondered if you can confirm now we are closer to time....

Going on TCX 244/5 4th and 18th May

On seating plan on line there are 7 rows at back... is it IFE seatbacks etc...

Can you have a guestimate at which plane of the TCX series it will be??

Thanks

john.storr,

A330-200. I can't give you a likely registration until the day before as aircraft are swapped and changed all the time.

fairypants,

Routing depends on weather, the jetstream position and other traffic on the day, but you're likely to fly the standard trans-oceanic routing. You'll depart MAN then head out over the Irish Sea, across Ireland then trans-oceanic across the Atlantic towards Newfoundland. At that point, subject to traffic, you'll either stay offshore and route down the eastern sea board or on odd occasions, transit down the east coast of America towards the Bahamas then soon after start the descent in to Cuba.

It's 4428 miles and you'll normally be slightly closer to the coast than this great circle map shows.

oh i meant what flight the aircraft might be on before doing the CCC? Sorry about that! its was that routing last year to PUJ however we took a slight de-tour on the return to portugal - god bless that ash cloud haha

thanks for the routing info though!

fairypants,

Sorry, I read that as what routing the aircraft would take! Too much time sorting flights out today I think :duh The flight before yours will be coming in from one of Holguin (Cuba) or Sanforf (Orlando).

Haha, no worries

I'll have to take plenty of pictures whilst I'm onboard. Off topic - Is it free to join airliners.net to upload pictures?

Cheers
