Last year we pre booked seats and went online to book the seats we wanted which was the whole back row so that we didn't have anyone behind us and also to be near the toilets. when we checked in on the day we were given the row in front of the ones we had booked and when i questioned it they said it was because the size of the aircraft had changed, so what is the point??
Aircraft changes occur from time to time for many different reasons, although it's not that common. You were just unlucky on the day. Most people will get the seats reseaved.

Looking for aircraft types for our Holiday to Lanzarote in July. MAN to ACE on 5th July, TCX2024 and return ACE to MAN on 15th July, TCX2319.
Also, do these aircraft have any inflight entertainment at all?
Thanks in advance,
Gary S.
MAN-ACE-MAN (TCX2024/2319) are currently showing as operating with Boeing 767-300/ER / Boeing 757-200 respectively. There's no IFE onboard. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Sorry, posted in the wrong place before We booked a holiday, for the first time with Thomas Cook, for March 2013, when we booked in it February we were told that we would be able to book extra leg room seats after the new system had been integrated in March 2012. I've tried to call them, but it's saying I can't book any extras more than 90 days in advance, is this correct? I know I'm a bit early here, but am starting to panic as my 6' 6" oh does not do non extra leg room seating for very long! Thank you in advance
That's correct. 90 days is the magic number although it's sometimes worth a call a day or two before in case the flight is loaded early. TCX are having a few issues at the moment though so you'll just have to bear with it.
Darren
Ok, thanks for getting back to me so quickly, guess I'll have to be patient 2nd December
hi Darren....going Rhodes 11th july with thomascook ...last time went was with thomson...we are on TCX2072 and return on TCX2073.....which plane type will we be on....flight time is just over 4hrs so think classed as short haul now...so dont think we will have IFE....tweetie
Rhodes has always been short (mid) haul. MAN-RHO-MAN (TCX2072/3) are normally a Boeing 757-200.
Darren
thanks Darren....
Are there any seats we should avoid....day flight this time ...so will have chance to se island from the air...hoping to book seats for the 4 of us...3 together and an end....tweetie
They have a bulkhead on most of them behind row 10, they are different to the Thomson Airways (blue seats) 757's. There is seat recline, but maybe not as far as standard seating. Seating is personal preference, there are none that I would say avoid as they are all much of a muchness, but I would stay clear of toilets. Odd seats don't have a full window so avoid the rear of the front cabin and the first 5 rows in the second if you want a window.
Darren
thanks again Darren...tuned in now ready for booking next week...tweetie
Hi Darren, do you know where TCX124 is coming from? We fly on 25th April from MAN to LAS. Booked exit row extra leg room seats 9GHJ outbound and in but then told 9J wasn't extra leg room seat as bulk head sticks out despite paying £40 for it!! After many phone calls got refunded £30 and moved seats on inbound flight
shell62,
I've prebooked seat 12a on a 757-200 as there doesn't look to be a seat in front of it and therefore nobody to recline onto me. Is this the case or have i missed something?
Anthony
