I just looked at thomas cook web site and its offereing no flight supplements on all 2010 summer holidays and when you price a holiday it comes up with transport supplements what are flight supplements. Depending on the property different flight supplements come up when trying to change to a differrent flight a totally different extra flight supplement comes up.

It makes you wonder if they have made a complete mess up on all of their pricing

On thomas cook website they are offering if you book today no flight supplements but when you price a holidays it will show transport supplements what arew flight supplements. Makes you wonder thomas cook haven't made a mess up of all their on line prices. I have reported the problem to thomas cook and their web support team has been advised.

This is what it says on TC web site.

http://www.thomascook.com/

I put this as a thread on its own so it would catch peoples eye, thomas cook are still saying no flight supplement but are still charging it. Twice I put this as thread on its own and twice its been moved to the thomas cook thread. If i didn't want it catch peoples eye I would of put it on the thomas cook thread myself. I don't read all the tour ops thread, even ones I am traveling with and neither do other members. Somebody could book on line with thomas cook and not realise there should be no flight supplement.

Hi can't think of a username

I presume flight supplements are the extra costs involved from flying from the various regional departure airports i.e Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle etc while transport supplements are the government departure taxes and the now common additional fuel charge that operators use to generate extra income :que

This is what it says on TC web site.

Summer 2010 holidays..............

Due to copyright I think the mod's will remove the copied wording so you should edit your post and add a link to the appropriate TC webpage.

Hi

Booked my holiday last week with Thomas cook and was wondering if you get any sort of confirmation through the post as I only have the travel date details and the Hotel name, I don't know if this is all I need as I have never booked through TC before and when I have booked with other TA I get confirmation through the post

Thomas cook still at it, there is a online only offer 10% off but all the prices are the same as they were before the offer and they are still saying no flight supplements to see one of £276 on a holiday priced up.

Last year I took advantage (or so I thought) of early booking and booked a holiday in Tenerife for this coming November. Thomas Cooks current price is now lower to the extent that if I cancelled, lost the deposit and rebooked I would still be £70 to the better. I could also book with First Choice instead and make a slightly lower saving.
I have already paid most of the holiday to Thomas Cook although payment is not due till late August. If I cancel will they refund the amount over the deposit so I can rebook cheaper either with them or someone else.

This happened to me last year with First Choice. I said I lose my deposit and re-book - eventually, after 2 or 3 phone calls they agreed to reduce the original price I paid .. saves on the admin I suppose (it always depends on who you speak to as well!). All monies paid on the account should be refunded, but I'd give them a call to see what they say.

Thanks I will give them a call tomorrow. Its worth a try.

Hi can anyone tell me how many hours before your flight you need to check in with thomas cook? Can't remember wether it is two or three? It isnt long haul if that helps?

Thanks!

Think its 2, but 90 minutes if you pre-book seats.
