Has anyone heard any rumours about TC group, whilst in Sharm with them in March, rumours were circulating about problems, resort reps not happy things like that. Thomas Cook TV has disappeared from the airwaves and to cap it all, I believe a flight out of Mahon in the last week or so was grounded by the airport and the passangers flown back on a Monarch plane. Thinking about booking next years holiday, might book with someone else.

There is nothing that is a major problem, TC TV was always going to end on 1st May as Sky have increased their prices to stupid amounts, the technical problems with the airline have been overtaken by Thomson in the last week, nothing that wouldnt put me off booking.

Hi, i am wanting to book a holiday to Spain to go with my fiance, her mum and her brother. My question is, me and my fiance don't want to catch the return flight home we are planning on staying with other family for an extra week and book a seperate flight home. Do TCX offer this sort of thing or will it all have to be booked seperately
Reply
I believe it will have to be booked separatly. You could do the flight only through Thomas Cook for those that are staying on.
Reply
Definately have to be booked separately as flights on the same booking need to have the same outbound and inbound dates.

Hi
travelling on Friday to Cuba. :D

Just wondering how strict TC are with hand luggage. Have heard small carry on cases are to big to take on board. Do they make you put handluggage into the hand luggage rack to see if it fits. (Ryanair do this when you are ready to board)

Thank You :cheers

Thos Cook hand luggage measurements are 43x28x23. On the occasions that I have flown with them they were quite strict but haven't had to put bag in a measuring frame at the gate.

Neither of my carry on (1 bag 1 small case) are over 5kg but dont think my carry on case would fit into the frame thats why I asked

Thanks

As long as your hand luggage is within the stated dimensions, is under 5kg and you only have one piece of hand luggage you should be ok. If it looks too big they might ask you to put it in the measuring gauge.

have bought another holdall which is possibly same diamentions but obviously but not as heavy as the case and more flexible if I am asked to put it in the rack. Also 2 kilo lighter!!!! This means I can transfer some bits into holdall and my little canvas bag i carry about with bit of change wipes etc in it.
Reply
As long as you can pack your canvas bag in your holdall you should be fine.

My little canvas bag is small but holds a lot. I only use it on holiday for purse with a bit of change, face wipes, hand gel, hair brush and mirror pen and book mobile phone sometimes. Lots of little compartments and it folds flat

Just booked a holiday to Cancun for next May. As Im doing it for my 50th birthday I wanted to get everything sorted so I have tried to book our seats together which it says I can do once ive booked. However, when I type my flight in of tcx148 which is states my flight on my confirmation it says flight not recognised.
Anybody got any ideas why this is. I have tried ringing them but just spent 20 mins on hold

Thanks

Michelle

You may get a better response if you post in the Thomas Cook topic in the Flights forum.

It may be because it's too early to choose your seats.

Michelle,

Did you book your holiday online or in the shop as if it was the shop you could have booked your pre bookable seats there and then.

Angie.

TCX flight codes have an alpha suffix after the numbers, usually K outbound & L inbound for 'normal' charter ops.

TCX148 will operate as TCX148K outbound and TCX148L inbound.

You do need to enter the full code if trying to book extras online.
