no it's not too late, I believe you can do it up to a week before you go

how early can you do this ? i have never been asked when travelling with Thomson

Hi Llindy, I think it's 28 days before travel, at the earliest.

I travelled with Thomson at the end of November, I did mine around June when I got my new passport, so I don't think there is an earliest date.

I've always done mine as soon as I've booked the flight - a couple of months ago for my next flight to Tunis in March.

I tried to book a flight/hotel through Thomas Cook this afternoon, but when my card was being authorised it came back with an 'oops, sorry' error and a reference number. After several phone calls, I was told that my order was with flexibletrips.com which is part of TC, and that the local shop/Thomas Cook customer services couldn't help me. I gave up trying to contact them after 1 hour on hold as it is a premium number. My card has been authorised, but I don't know if the money has only been set aside or if it has gone through. I have no email confirmation and have lost confidence in a company who can't seem to process an order, or answer phones.

Any advice, other than phoning up the premium number again in the morning? I have tried emailing operations@flexibletrips.com and customer.relations@thomascook.com

Very frustrating.

Welcome to HT beecher

Have you checked with your bank to see if the money has been taken from your account, perhaps you can do it online or you may have telephone banking?

After a bit of digging on the internet I have found this local number that you might try to see if they can help :que Thomas Cook Customer services 01324 565289
I have also found a couple of other free / local rate numbers that you can try -

0800 0288808
01733 335500

Be aware that there is often a long hold on the phones to TC

Hopefully you get it sorted, let us know how you get on :tup

I read a report that Thomas Cook had only settled its invoices from Algarve Hotels to 95%. claiming it was a bad year. I wonder what the Inland Revenue would say if I told them the same. Seems very petty to me, and does this mean everyone who went on a Thos. Cook holiday to the Algarve in 2010 is due a 5% rebate?

Thomas Cook web-site times out on me in a matter of seconds most of the time.

I do a search then in the time I decide to click on view hotel, or click through on the continue tab, I click and its 'sorry this session has timed out' what in 20 seconds ?

Is anyone else having this trouble or is it something linked to my own machine/hardware/software ?

Today isn't the first time I have had this problem in the last few weeks.

Hi Doe,

I've just checked the TC site and although it took a while 'searching for your best holiday today', it loaded the page fine and when I selected an hotel and clicked on continue I had no probs.

Thanks shirley. Think it must be my machine, will have to try at work, as that is two Saturdays running it has timed out on me and I am losing patience. It was nice of you to try it for me. :tup

I'm booked with Thomas Cook via Carribbean Warehouse for Dom Rep in Jan 2012 ...
Now when I'm going to Thomas Cook website, it seems that they don't propose their own packages anymore, it's all about First Choice and Thomson ... Any idea what's going on ?
Thanks a lot in advance !

I am sorry to tell you Thomas Cook has cancelled all Dom Rep flights from Nov 11 + Cuba, Santa Clara, you will need to contact your travel agent to find out what they are going to do.

Hi, I've called my TA and been informed that Thomas Cook hasn't cancelled the flights but that they are reviewing them for winter 2011/2012 and hence they aren't on sale for the time being ...

It has been in the pipe line for a while , but rumours amongst staff at the airline itself that has filtered through to us agents is that Thomas Cook will be cancelling their entire longhaul programme , we are not sure when it will be but could even be as soon as Summer 2012 ,or even winter 2011 and just cancel existing bookings .

That's really bad, isn't it ? Is it the end of package holidays as we know them ?
