this is a flight enquiry... please ask in the flights forum [where our experts can advise]
Hi there, after posting on the Thomas cook airlines page I was told from November tcx will be changing the config of their long haul aircraft to 29" seat pitch. I am 6ft4 and struggle on short flights for leg room so a flight to Mexico will be awful. My question is do I have grounds to cancel my booking?
Sorry should have mentioned it is a package holiday I have booked
airframe/configuration/leg room and any thing else you need to know about your flight Before you make any possibly rash decisions [like cancelling]
wizard
I already know the aircraft type etc. Dazbo has said as far as he knows, that is the seating arrangement. I do not want to fly that far with no room. I am quite happy to cancel a re book the same with Thomson
we are a family of 2 adults and 4 children, we always book 2 rooms as the older teenagers prefer their own room. I'm trying to book for aug 2012 to go to turkey but i am finding it would be alot cheaper to book using 2 seperate bookings and ask them to put us next to each other, has anyone ever done it this way?? did it work out ok for them?? thanks
We fly in 4 weeks...Just wandered if anyone can tell me when to expect our tickets?
Tickets are usually issued 10-14 days before travel.
thanks luci, we booked online with airtours...just wandered because in laws have received theirs and they go 1 week after us, although their with thomson.
I think we have had Thomas Cook tickets about 3 weeks ahead, but I wouldn't panic until 7-10 days before.
luci
Thomas Cook tickets are usually 7/10 days but they have been experiencing some delays with ticket despatch. They are aiming to have tickets delivered no later than 5 days prior to your departure.
i have been to cuba before so have an idea on what to expect , but the revweis all seem to bemoan the same thing
what is thomas cooks policy on changing hotels in resort if they are realy as bad as things seem. i have never had to swap hotels yet anywhere and hope my fears do not match what we find on arrival
thanks in advance for a speedy reply
You would have to speak to your rep. There are a few bad reviews, but the majority are good. Things would have to be really bad before they would let you move free of charge though!
Cook reveals details of business review as share price plunges
Thomas Cook today confirmed that the "fundamental review" of its business, announced to the City yesterday, will focus exclusively on its product mix.
It is not believed to be looking at job cuts although these have not been ruled out by the company.
Thomas Cook's share price plunged 28% after its warning that full-year profits will be £60 million lower than expected. It blamed the squeeze on consumer spending and political upheaval in the Middle East and North Africa.
However, today a spokeswoman for the company said it was looking more closely at its business model and more specifically at whether it is offering customers the right sort of holidays.
"The fundamental review will focus on product mix," she said. "It is looking at where the business is positioned and where it needs to be positioned now, next year and in a few years time."
She said Cook would be looking at whether it has "the right balance" of differentiated products. "For example, has it got enough all-inclusive, enough luxury product and the right holidays that people want to buy."
Further details will be announced at the company's third quarter trading update in August, although the spokeswoman said the review was likely to continue beyond the summer.

Thomas Cook vulnerable as shares fall again:
that's not good news at all I like flying with TC because I find them very competitive and have always had good service with them. I hope they're not bought out.
How does this effect people who have already booked holidays with them for 2011 and 2012???????????????
