Just in case there are some people that have missed this Thomas Cook have flights to Vegas direct from Manchester 28th October 2009 for 14 nights £280 return and 4th November 7 nights £280.
The offer was that good I have booked a few seats myself for the 4th November and am staying 2 nights downtown on freemont and 5 nights up the strip.
At that price it can't be missed
John
This price is for flight only, right?
Really good deal! I guess that would even be worth me driving down to Manchester for! Even better for those that live there!
I thought you already had flights booked for the end of November? Were they refundable or are you going twice?!
luci
I never got around to booking the flights for the end of November but I did book the comped rooms.
I booked this new flight after reading that the legroom on the Tcooks long haul flights are 33 inches so I can cope with that, i then went and cancelled my comped rooms only to find that there was a 110,000 person convention on next week in Vegas so all rooms in Caesars and Paris were booked solid so I have paid £38 for 2 nights downtown at Golden GAte which I am looking forward to seeing I have lots of 2 for 1 buffet coupons for downtown, then we move to a suite at the Rio comped for the remaining 5 nights so I did get something out of it.
Grand total of holiday is £300 each.
Depending on funds I may still do the other trip but incorporate it in a trip to Vancouver to meet up with Rami and his wife near xmas time.
One thing is certain and that is I don't think I will get a bargain flight like that again as I was reading somewhere today about taxes going up again on long haul flights.
I will try to get a daily trip report done as that does relax me a little while in Vegas and gives me a break from the gambling
John
p.s the flights are still at that sale price
A couple of new things on the strip. The Hard Rock Cafe and shop opened the beginning of September along with a new Denny's opposite the Monte Carlo.
You will see a huge difference in the City Center. I really hated it in May, but it is resembling less of a building site now and coming into shape.

Is Hard Rock on that block where Fat Burger is ?
Are there any new shows or concert/musicians on worth seeing oe is it just going to be a week hunting full pay VP machines
I will try to do a daily report somewhere with some photos attached.
5 more sleeps then downtown
John
I would recommend seeing Human Nature at the IP. They're a 4 piece Australian group of white guys who do Motown and they are excellent.
We also saw Jubilee! at Bally's and thought it was very good, much better than I was expecting. There is also Peepshow at PH. I wasn't that impressed, but OH enjoyed it.
Can also recommend Terry Fator at the Mirage. Don't let the fact he's a ventriloquist put you off, it's a really funny show and great entertainment.

Re the post you saved instead of submitted, if you go to your user control panel and click on Manage Drafts at the left hand side, you should find it there.

Change of plan btw.
Gold coast in a suite as the normal rooms were full so they upped me to that so ok for 2 nights then next door to the Rio for the other 5.
Will get some pics done daily and load them up somewhere.
I think it will be a tale of how many bingo games the wife will be playing as she spotted last night that the Gold Coast has bingo.
Oh well I will have to sit at a bar people watching so no loss to me
John
