jetnoise,
See my post above.
Darren
Yes Darren - saw the post, just confirming that it had actually arrived.
Again, to confirm the poposed events outlined by Darren previously, I am told that G-OOBK did indeed re-enter service today, operating flight TOM092 to Cancun.
Cheers,
Ralph

No need to confirm it, the aircraft is back in service and currently part way across the Atlantic heading for Cancun at Jetnoise mentioned

Thanks, that news is a nice early present for many including my wife.
Nice of you all to keep us informed of these developments. Cheers
good afternoon darren/ any other super experts available for comment. i am looking for some info on my forthcoming flight please, it's zooming off on wednesday 9th march 2011 from manchester to varadero using flight number TOM 172/173. I would like to know if it is ex first choice or thomson please as i will be booking seats tomorrow once the 90 day count down arrives...also is straight to destination as i know thomas cook if not thomson have pooled varadero and holguin on the same flight in the past? we are in premium so want a set of 2 seats, many thanks in advance for your help which i am sure you get thoroughly fed up of giving sometimes given all the repeated questions you must tackle, you really are a super star
MAN-VRA-MAN (TOM172/3) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. The flight operates non-stop.

Whilst there, we seen a large number of Thomson planes flying in and we got to speak to some friends and they said that in previous years they used to fly from Birmingham via Thomson despite not being on a cruise. Have they stopped this
I noticed that Thomson Holidays have now added Barbados as a holiday destination but unfortunately none of the hotels they offer are to our taste.

crikey, super fast, took the same amount of time as i did to trough a mince pie and fill up my red wine goblet (afternoon off so it's allowed) sorry... ...it feels hideously odd asking holiday questions whilst trying to be festive at home in front of the fire!!!!! thanks for your help...again
As the cruise charters are on selected dates, holidays to those destinations aren't normally available as there may be an outbound flight, but not inbound and vice versa. Cruise charter flights are normally just that, flights chartered by the crise operator purely for the cruise. However, there is some availability on flights that are more regular than the usual ad-hoc charters.

I have been reading posts on TA from people who have had their Cuba flights changed to Arkefly, meaning no premium seats. Can you shed any light on this please? The latest one is flying 20 Dec and has just had a call to inform him of aircraft change.
We are on this flight in two weeks, hope it's a one off.
Many thanks, and thanks for all your help in 2010 keep up the good work in 2011.
Netty.
Bad weather in Arrecife yesterday, you'll find most/all airlines had delays of up to 24 hours. Think it was low lying cloud that was the problem.

I can't tell you the exact reason for the delay as it could be any number of things, but I know weather has been effecting things in the canaries. It's only a one off though.

I know some flights are being covered by an Arkefly Boeing 767-300/ER, but I can't tell you which ones. Those effected will be contacted by the airline.

I quite agree that Thomsons/First Choice SHOULD contact people affected by the change of plane but they aren't doing so. I asked this question on here before we went to Holguin on 22nd November and we were only told at check-in. It is my post on T.A. that so folks are referring to.
It was clear from conversations in resort that this has been a regular story from both Gatwick and Manchester over the last few weeks and looks like it is continuing even though the damaged plane is back in circulation.
The guy on T.A. was told the plane that was damaged may have to be scrapped the day after it flew to Cancun!
Thomson/First Choice know full well we had no Premium on either flight yet it is up to passengers to contact them for a refund; disgraceful behaviour in my opinion. The letter also said that the refund would be sent to home addresses; quite why they can't refund to the cards used to pay with is beyond me. I guess by sending cheques they keep the money even longer.
Best wishes,
Tracey
Does anyone know why TOM145 is cancelled (Sundays Arrival from Cancun)
Got some relatives on this flight and wondering if anyone knows why its cancelled?
Thanks
Zack
Tinkie - there has been a few different people posting on TA about this, so don't know if it was your's was one that I read or not.
They've also changed a POP flight for the 21 December, so not just Cuba. Hopefully things will settle down in a few weeks now they've got their damaged plane back in service.
