Hi

We are flying Manchester to Hurghada on Friday 17th July, flight no. TOM506

Can someone please tell me the type of aircraft and the seating configuration. Is this classed as a short haul flight by Thomsons ?

Many Thanks

ChrisTalbot,

Egypt is a short (mid) haul destination. MAN-HRG-MAN (TOM506/7) are operated by a Boeing 757-200 (winglets). You'll find aircraft details on our What Aircraft? thread.

boeing 767/304 is seating 2 4 2. do flights to sharm from manchester carry any premiem or upgrades. meals on planes are they worth pre booking and when do the menus come out as with two fussy eaters may be better to eat in airport. any info thanx

saskia62,

All the aircraft information is on the What Aircraft? thread I linked you to. They are configured 2-4-2 in an all economy (328Y) layout so no premium seating. Meals are presonal choice. If you don't want to eat before the flight and you think you'll be starving by the time you get to your destination, you might want to book them. Meals are normally beef or chicken but if you're fussy eaters, you might be better eating at the airport. You can always take sandwiches on the flight with you if you want, bearing in mind restrictions at security.

Thanks :)

jamie09,

Not in the sense you walk up to it and order a drink!! Cabin crew conduct a drinks service and if you want one between rounds, press your call button or visit the galley.

Darren

PS flights are actualy operated by Thomson Airways

jamie09,

As per the information provided when you posted on 20th April, your flights are operated by a former FCA aircraft, but FCA as an airline no longer exists.
