The FCO has now changed it's advice on non-essential travel to Mexico. So it looks like you'll be OK.
It's come too late for me, I was due to travel last Sunday.
Hope you have a great time
chica.julietta,
Im Flying Out To Las Palmas On TOM6144 From Cardiff And Back On TOM6145.
In Cardiff And Las Palmas Will I Board/Disembark The Aircraft By Stairs And A Bus? Or One Of Those Walkway Things Into The Airport Direct From The Aircraft Door?
Thanks
The aircraft that opperated the flight yesterday was G-OBYG is this aircarft fitted with seat back IFE???
Thanks in advance.....
I don't think there is any way to find out what stand the aircraft will be using at either airport. You will be able to ask the staff at the airport but over the last 3 years when I have flown they diddn't have any idea as to which gate the aircraft would be using. I think its luck really and depends on how busy the airport is.
Last time I flew into Las Palmas I disembarked using Aircraft Stairs and a bus into the terminal building.
I hope I have been able to help.
can you tell me what plane we are flying on from bhx 4th june tom662 landing at man for fuel do we pick up passengers thanks in advance dobbo
BHX-CUN-BHX (TOM662/3) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. Refer to our What Aircraft? thread for more details. The stop in Manchester (outbound) is for fuel only. The return flight is non-stop.

thanks for that dobbo

Your flight will be operated by an ex FCA 757 with winglets. At Cardiff 99.9% of 757 or 767 flights will be connected to an airbridge (Walk straight to door).
There are only 3 stands that can take these size aircraft, and 2 of them have an airbridge, the other is away from the terminal and will require bussing but i can almost guarantee yours will be connected to an airbridge.
However i cant comment on Las Palmas, that is probably allocated on a daily basis with so many different aircraft arriving.

Oh Are You Sure Its A Ex FCA 757 With Winglets?
Because Ive Been Told Its An Ex Thomsonfly 757.
Does Enyone Else Know????
I have the aircraft schedule infront of me and according to that, CWL-LPA-CWL (TOM6144/5) are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 757-200.

I read somewhere (on an earlier page) that you can book an exact seat if your flight is within the next 4 weeks? I also understand that it costs £5 per person - again, assuming that this is correct, is it possible to request an exact exit seat (which I have already paid for)?
I think I would like to do this - so can anyone tell me which row it is for the exit seats at the second door (loading door - 2L) Seats B & C - I recall that these have acres of space (Please correct me if I'm wrong).
Many thanks
PE
Sorry - Just realised that I never put the aircraft model (752). Apologies!
I don't see why you can't pre-assign specific exit row seats if you've already booked them, although given there's a limited number of them anyway; row 1 B/C, row 12 B/C - D/E, Row 13 F, row 32 A-F, is it value for money? You'll find a seating plan on our What Aircraft? thread.

got my tix yesterday for the honeymoon, can't wait now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dazbo, are you aware of our bird type please for tuesday, june 2nd form manchester to POP dominican? it's TOM 122 (i think!)
i would have liked a first choice as i've never had the pleasure but as we bookedour seats im willing to bet its' Thomson (looking forward to seeing the uniform now the pink first choice has diminished, apparently it noe involves cream trousers- how very practical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bet you're getting excited now!! I hope the wedding goes well. MAN-POP-MAN (TOM122/3) are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER. You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? thread. You can book seats on any flight now that the merger has been completed and internal systems are talking to each other.

Thanks for getting back to me Darren.
I called them this morning and you can indeed book exact exit seats. I decided to do this.
I have got seats 12B & C outbound and 12D & E on the return leg.
The reason why I wanted these is because they are at the loading door - so can avoid the mad rush to get off and also wanted D/E because they are a set of two seats on their own and the legroom on row 12 seems much larger than row 32 (which are also right next to the toilets) and didn't want the constant stream of people that I had previously experienced when on a Thomas Cook 752 in row 32.
I still think it represents quite good value for money - £40 return for pre-assigned extra legroom seats at the entry/exit door - but that's just me! Others may think differently.
Cheers for your help again!

LiamScott95 / Caaardiff,

Sorry Dazbo/Liam,
Liam i assume your flying to LPA in 2009 not 2010?
If its 2009, i see this aircraft every day. The season started with G-CPEP and G-OOOZ. At the moment G-CPEU is at CWL, which arrived last week at CWL with winglets. This is the first year an ex FCA 757 has been at CWL, but will be here for the remainder of the summer season and the plan is to keep a 757 with winglets.
Its to do with mixing the brands until all aircraft are painted in TOM colours, as there is also a TOM 738 at CWL

Im Flying Tomorrow - Monday 18th May - TOM6144/5 So Are You Sure Its Going To Be G-CPEU ?
It'll be a Boeing 757-200 winglets or not. It makes little difference really other than the former First Choice aircraft (wingletted) have the older style seats (green leather) whereas the Thomsonfly aircraft have the newer slimline Recaro seats (dark blue leather) and give a little extra legroom. Everything else is the same.
