Answer

You Can Pre-Book Specific Seat Numbers, This Has To Be Done By Phoning Thomason Airways

Extra leg room as well £10.00 return

plodski,

If You Have Payed For Extra Legroom Seats Then Thomson Will Do Their Very Best To Make Sure You Get Them, However If You Want Added Piece Of Mind Then It Costs £5 Per person Each Way, (£10 return per person)

dobbo345,

BHX-CUN-BHX (TOM662/3) is operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? thread. You'll still be stopping in MAN outbound regardless of the slight change to your flight time as the runway at BHX isn't long enough to allow the aircraft to take off fully fuelled, hence the hop over to MAN to brim the tanks and use their longer runway.

Some of the flights to and from Mexico have been changed, I have just been looking at the flight I am taking in July and when it beings operation next week from Manchester its flight time is now 13Hours departing at 06:55 instead of the 10:30 flight we are on. I do hope they don't change our flights in July to operate like this, 13 hours and up at 06:55! Wouldn't be a nice experance.

alexblfc,

Didn't we say it would be a 50/50 chance? I posted the 767 fleet listing here. You were on one of the former long haul aircraft that was reverted back to short haul operations (G-OBYE). You were one of the lucky ones and sound dissapointed!

I was dissapointed!

not the fact that it was seat back, but the fact that the thing didnt work for the whole return flight!

Yes, it was in fact G-OBYE

lonescientist,

Welcome onboard :tup
Please quote flight numbers and/or your departure airport so we can locate the right details for you. There's often several flights / departure airports for particular destinations. There's a flight from Manchester (TOM2436/7) and Gatwick (TOM4412/3) on a Thursday; both are operated by a Boeing 737-800 (wingletted). Refer to our What Aircraft? thread or more details.

Dazbo, I went from Birmingham to La Romana and we didn't have to stop and refuel. Can you tell me why that is???

Hi, I'm now flying to Cancun from Manchester on the 2nd June at 10:30am. Could you tell me if this is an ex-FCA or ex-Thomson Plane?
Sorry, I don't know the flight number as it was a hastily re-arranged booking and have no tickets.

Thanks

Hi, I can't find the seating plan for a 767-300/ER for flight TOM392 - does anyone have a link please?
Thank you.

sparky123,

BHX-LRM is 4261 miles. BHX-CUN is 4882 miles. It might not seem much, but it's about 1.5 hours flying time different and equates to around 9 tonnes of extra fuel. The aircraft can take off with enough fuel in the tanks for most Caribbean destinations, but Cancun is that little bit too far to be able to take enough fuel onboard and take off from BHX's 2600m runway. That's why your flight was non-stop, and the CUN flights operate via MAN (for fuel)

disjunkie,

MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM196/7) are scheduled to be operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER although the flight at the beginning of the month with the Swine flu problem was operated by a former Thomsonfly aircraft. That may have been due to repatriation (greater capacity), so I exect it'll be a former-FCA as planned.

anebir,

EMA-CUN-EMA (TOM392/3) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. There isn't a seating plan available for them. The one I have I can't post for copyright reasons. There's 9 rows of 2-3-2 (63 seats) in the front cabin followed by 28 rows of economy seats. You'll find further aircraft information, including cabin photos on our What Aircraft? thread

Hey,
With you mentioning about the TOM196/7 being a former TOM at the start of the month will you be able to tell me closer to my flight date (21st July) which aircraft is due to operate the flight? I know you have been good with this information in the past but I like to know what Plane I am flying on and I will be disappointed if its not the FCA wanted to fly on First Choice before they disappear also want to know whether I need my camera for the flight, wont be taking it if its the TOM I have pictures of there 767s. Basically after all my wollofling I am asking if closer to the time you can confirm the registration of the aircraft that will operate the flight?
Thanks
