Hi,

I'm looking at flights TOM 1420/1421 GLA-FAO in October, we flew this route last year and seat config was 3-3. Just wondering if it's still the same this year? Also if we prebook seats together can we book specific seats? Our littlest is 2 this time so we need 4 seats and I'm thinking 2 in front of 2 with windows seats for the kids might be better.

Thanks,
Vod

Please try and quote flight numbers where possible. GLA-CUN-GLA (TOM348/9) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. There are 63 premium seats configured 2-3-2 over 9 rows located in the forward cabin. Refer to our What Aircraft? thread for moredetails.

x-vod-x,

GLA-FAO-GLA (TOM1420/1) are operated by a Boeing 757-200 (winglets) so it'll be the same as your previous flights. You can pre-book specific seats by calling the airline 4 weeks before your departure date.

Hi Darren

You previously assisted me with some info for my flight from BHX-LXR TOM416 on 02/09. We have requested 4 welfare seats because 3 of us are disabled/medical conditions and the fourth is my carer. Do you know what the aircraft configuration is yet? I wanted to be able to book the seats but was told that I could only request the seats and to turn up early at the airport because it is on a first come-first served basis. My concern is that, if the seats aren't available, and there are no other extra legroom seats available, I have to cancel the holiday there and then and lose over £3K. It would be impossible for me as a disabled person standing at over 6'2" to be able to sit in a standard seat for over 5 hours.

Many thanks

Gary

BHX-LXR-BHX (TOM416/7) are currently operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER (long haul aircraft). You'll find further information on our What Aircraft? thread. There's over 70 extra legroom seats available so plenty to choose from. The premium cabin is normally sold as extra legroom on short (mid) haul flights, but you won't get the full premium service. Compared to the short haul aircraft, you could describe all 253 seats as extra legroom given they have 33" seat pitch compared to 30", and seat back IFE throughout. You've got a result there! If you have any concerns over your flight, discuss it with the airline as they should be able to accomodate your needs.

Hi
I have noticed that flight TOM644 left from BHX on time this morning and as the Summer schedule has now done a full cycle (I think) can anyone tell me where the plane flew in from before flying outbound to POP?

Kind regards

Andy

Andy_Mandy,

The BHX-POP-BHX (TOM644/5) service commenced on 9th May and operates on a fortnightly basis. The flight operates BHX-SFB-BHX (TOM804/5) prior to operating your flight. It's due in at 0625 before operating your flight at 0815.

Thanks Darren. I think the return leg must be being operated by an ex-TOM plane, as when I rang to book seats the operator said it was showing a smaller premium cabin.

I assume this may be because they are still re-jigging the cancun flights about, but I hope they don't fully sell premium seats, as there will be a lot less available on the inbound flight!

The July / August IFE listing won't be released until the end of June. You'll find the current list here.
