Ian-Lds,

It's too early to know the aircraft registration. We won't know until the day before. Gower or z.j.c should be able to help you out, I'll be somewhere beneath the Aegean Sea playing with some fish that day! Thomson Airways punctuality record is on Flightontime.info.

Hi we are flying on wednesday east midlands to mexico with thomson, can anyone tell me what the actual plane will be???

dmtuck,
Welcome to the Forums
Your flight (EMA-CUN-EMA) will be operated on a ex-First Choice Boeing 767-300 aircraft. We don't no the actual aircraft until a day before you fly but the ex-FCA aircraft are more or less the same.

More information can be found on the What Aircraft Guide

dmtuck,

Your flight numbers are TOM392/3 (please quote them when you can). The aircraft operates TOM352/3 (Sanford) before your flight and TOM374/5 prior to that. The aircraft operating TOM374/5 today is G-OOAN. That should be the aircraft operating your flight on Wednesday. It makes little difference as they are all the same inside.

Experts need your help.

Friends of mine phoned Thomsons to book their premium seats and booked row 9, but got cold feet incase there was a change of plane, as previous posters were having trouble with change of plane at the last minute to short haul configuration and did'nt get their premium seats. So they phoned back the call centre for bulkhead seats and asked for 2a and 2b, knowing that the plane is Ex First Choice due to it having 9 rows in premium but was told front bulk head seats are 1a and 1b and were warned about the tv screens being on the wall has problems with glare(but as we know its Ex Tom planes that have bulkhead TVs not Ex First Choice). They need piece of mind what plane are they on with such conflicting information.

Ex Tom or Ex First Choice.

The flight numbers are TOM 520 from Glasgow to Puerto Plata on Sept 26th and returning on TOM 521 Puerto Plata to Glasgow on Oct 10th.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Angie34,

Their flight is operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER, unless there's a technical problem and a replacement aircraft is brought in to cover on the day. If a replacement aircraft is used, it'll most likely be a short haul aircraft that doesn't have a premium cabin so their choice of seat in premium will make little difference. If all goes to plan, it'll all be irrelevant. The screen on the front row in premium folds out from the armrest rather than being on the bulkhead wall. Further aircraft details are listed our What Aircraft? guide.

Thanks Darren for your speedy reply, yes as I have flown on both aircraft I was telling them the TVs came out of the arm rest on the Ex FC.

What was bothering them they did'nt realise that the Ex FC planes started at Row1 they had been told that the bulkhead seats started at Row 2, or is there different layouts on Ex FC planes.
Sorry for the questions but I am sure they will want to know all this, just trying to get the answers ready for them.

Angie34,

I've posted the seating plans on the What Aircraft? guide, both versions. Premium are rows 1 to 9 with the bulkhead all across infront row 1, apart from a couple of aircraft that is row 2 so it depends on the specific aircraft assigned on the day. It's row 2 on out outer seats on the former Thomsonfly aircraft.

Hi Angie 34

Have a look at my post on 29th Aug. The bulkhead window seats on our ex-FCA 767 did start on Row 2. We unwittingly booked bulkhead which we didn't want. We thought Row 2 would place us in the row behind. We flew on G-00AN.

Sorry Darren and thanks for explanation here.

BHX-LXR-BHX (TOM416/7) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. These are long haul configured and have seat back IFE throughout (you lucky thing!). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide. The aircraft operates TOM284/5 (Montego Bay) today and is currently inbound as TOM568/9 (MAN-NCL-CUN-NCL). The registration of your aircraft should be G-PJLO, not that is makes any difference!

Once again Passengers on TOM196/7 will be forced to endure 10 Hours on a Short Haul Config 767. This week however it carn't be a maintenance or technical issue as all the other 767's are flying perfectly. I wonder what Thomson's real reason behind this change is.
