jamie09,
Aircraft are rotated all the time so it's impossable to tell which registration (ex-FCA) will be used on your flight this far in advance (I doubt Thomson Airways will yet!). I'll know a couple of days before. It doesn't make much difference in any case, they're all the same inside apart from the position of the overwing exits. The one you saw the other day would have been an ad-hoc cruise charter.

i was on here the otehr day about prebooking seats etc with Thomson.
we were informed this morning that our flight going out from dublin to Lanzarote TOM8413 is with First Choice and that we cannot pre book our seats now
I am so annoyed.
LGW-AUA-LGW (TOM082/3) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find more aircraft details on our What Aircraft? thread. I wouldn't describe these as 'old first choice' in an age sense, they're the same age as the Thomsonfly! I know what you mean though. The interiors are starting to show a bit of wear and tear, but they're still nice. Now system integration is sorted, you can book specific seats on any flight (with an odd exception). You just need to give Thomson Airways a call within 6 weeks of your departure date on 08712 314787 (cheap rate numbers are on Saynoto0870.com.

Top Man Darren, Thanks for the info!!
I did post that you wouldn't be able to! It's because the First Choice system isn't integrated in to Thomsonfly's until after May, hence you can only book specific seats on flights departing after May. Your flights are before then so they can't be.

It depends if you're lucky enough to get a former long haul aircraft with seat back IFE (good chance you will do). I prefer the 757's in that respect because the ceiling on the 767 is a lot higher so you end up with neck-ache after a while (did it for 9 hours when flying to St Lucia a few years ago!). Depending on your seat, the overhead storage bins block your view as well.

LGW-EFL-LGW (TOM4714/5) are operated by an Airbus A320-200 you'll be pleased to now! Refer to our What Aircraft? thread for more details. I've always found meals on First Choice to be good. However, my flights with Thomsonfly in December, the meal was below average outbound and above average (full christmas dinner) coming back. My flights to Mombasa with First Choice in March weren't as good as previous flights, edible though.

Many thanks Darren!
Just a general question re IFE.... on Manchester to Dom Rep
Outbound on 29th April TOM 133 to Dom Rep
Inbound on 6th May TOM127 to Manchester
What films are shown - anyone know please?
Welcome onboard
You'll find the March / April listing here. The May / June hasn't been released yet. BY-TOM-AMM-FCA usually posts it towards the end of the month when it's available. Your outbound flight is operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER, your inbound by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER. For aircraft details, refer to our What Aircraft? thread.

Thanks Darren, all that is really helpful. Your review was good too, wish we had the time to go for a week, but can only fit in a day. I know Katie will be exhausted by the end of it all, but hopefully the adrenalin will keep her going. Don't know who will be the most excited-her or me!!
Hi Darren, thanks for you speedy reply,i forgot to mention that flight tom568 on june15 was from newcastle to cancun, could you confirm for me that on a fca 767-3oo or 300er is indeed a window seat.many thanks.
Your Flights (NCL-CUN-NCL) Are Operated By A Boeing 767-300/ER ex First Choice.
These Are Configured 2-3-2. For More Information Take A Look At Our What Aircraft? Thread

PS I Dont Know Where Darren Got That You Were Flying From Birmingham
Thomson Airways 767 we have been reliably informed by cabin staff that Thomson are to re plan the layout of the plus cabin < thats the big one>next year to be the same configuration as premium ie 2+3+2 the existing is 2+4+2 sounds good but as most people travel as a couple a lot more will not be sitting side by side, Thomsons idea of seats together can be in front of each other? we found this out in premium class last month.
All the 767's in the Thomson Airways fleet are the extended range version (ER).
PS I Dont Know Where Darren Got That You Were Flying From Birmingham
Sorry about that, don't know where I got BHX from. I remember looking up the NCL schedule as well. Same aircraft but won't be via MAN in that case! Just have a lot on at the moment, my gran is in hospital so mind probably playing tricks. Might have been the enotonox!!
Can you help please, a friend has asked me to post on her behalf, what plane will she be flying on Ex FC or Ex Tom from BHX/POP/BHX May 9th sorry she didnt give me flight codes.
Angie.
I'll get it right this time, definatley BHX not Newcastle (see above!). BHX-POP-BHX (TOM644/5) are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER.
Darren
Thanks once again Darren for your speedy reply. Your a diamond.
What happens if we don't get the seats which have been paid for. Another battle to get your money back?
Mark
Is there a seat plan for the ex-Thom 767-300 long haul?
