I had booked flights 8 months ago to Tenerife (with Airtours). We were to travel out on Christmas Day. I found out through the grapevine there was no flight and the airport was closed. They didn't bother to tell me. I e-mailed them - no reply. I have written them a letter of complaint a month ago - no reply.
I have been credited the deposit I paid, but it would have been nice to have been told about it. I wonder were they going to leave it until December before they told me.
