Booked a two week cruise on 14/2 to the Caribbean, paid to upgrade to deck 7 and picked our cabin. Received verbal confirmed and email too, couple of weeks ago when Thomson upgraded their reservation system also had an email to confirm this. Received a call from Thomson to say that the cabin I chose has been double booked and I need to chose another. I booked this cabin as it had an unobstructed view and there are no cabins left of this type. They have offered to refund the £42 cabin reservation fee and give me a bottle of wine in the cabin. What they did not check is that I paid for the AI upgrade so actually I am paying for my free bottle of wine. I am extremely annoyed and disappointed as this is not something that I would expect from Thomson and also after having everything confirmed.
Does anyone have any advice for me?
