Having not long returned from a Caribbean cruise on the latest ship to join the Thomson fleet the Tui Discovery I will hopefully be able to answer any questions you might have.
I will provide a review shortly however I am happy to say that the Discovery far exceeded my expectations and we absolutely loved it.
Did your review eventually appear? I've booked on the Thompson Discovery and would be interested to see it.
Here you go Frank
http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/cruise-reviews/ never found it, so gave up.
Thanks. I looked for its image in this page,
As the ship changed owners the image is not up to date - we are in the process of rejuvenating cruise as it never had a make over etc..
All the Thomson ships have dedicated Facebook groups.
The first review on there I don't believe is actually for the Discovery as it wasn't in service at the time of the review.
As you would see from my review we loved it and found it a big step up from their other ships, we were so impressed we booked Discovery 2 for next year.
Thanks Kiltman, for getting back to me. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. I've read other reviews on a cruise specialist site and have to say they were very mixed. From experience I know that one's opinion of a cruise depends on what you are accustomed to on previous cruises. This will be my seventh cruise, my fourth on a Thompson ship so I'm expecting a step up from Thompson Spirit and a step down from The Dawn Princess. You get what you pay for, so I am expecting a nice Junior suite and decent all inclusive food and drink. By all accounts the entertainment in the Caribbean was mediocre, its on its way across the Atlantic to meet me, so we shall see.
