Its been a long time since I asked a question on here if ever and about six years since I last answered one for someone else so I thought I would start with a typically pointless but definitely British question about tea!
We are going on the Dream in three weeks and it will be the first time on a Thomson cruise with tea and coffee making facilities in the cabin and it has me all in a quandry!!
My first question concerns the minibar. We are taking our 17 month old (yep, I know, we must be bloody mad!) and I need to give her milk twice a day. If i buy this offshore in supermarkets, will the fridge actually keep it sufficiently cold or is it one of those minibars with just a slight chill for drinks and not really safe for keeping fresh milk? I know they are small and stocked up with not much free space but I was prepared to get on board and kick up a stink if they didn't allow me at least room for a carton of essential milk for the baby lol
My second less important question is, apart from a kettle and two cups, what does tea and coffee making facilities entail i.e. Do they keep it stocked up with teabags and coffee and what about milk? Do they supply rancid curdled plastic pots of milk like Ocean Village did, enough to put everyone off tea for life? Should i be taking chocolate and cappuccino sachets for the cabin and stick to drinking tea in the Lido where you can get fresh milk?
These things are important to know, I will be able to sleep much better at night with these worries off my mind, thanks!!
I just realised if the answer to question 1 is the minibar is sufficient for storing milk then question 2 becomes irrelevant as I will have my own fresh milk in the fridge for tea! But i'm suspecting that won't be the case
Yes the supplied milk for tea and coffee is in sealed plastic tubs, but I didn't find that a problem, apart from there being not enough of it. My wife doesn't take milk, so that worked out fine for me. Yes it is kept stocked with tea and coffee, everything you use is replaced after you've used it.
Brilliant, thanks for replying Frank - one less thing to worry about now!
I hope you have a great cruise
