I have just received a letter 21 days proir to our honeymoon stating that our outward flight has changed from 1.45pm (acceptable) to 06.15.
This now means we are going to have to check into Gatwick 4.15 in the morning - I am totally gutted they have done this.
Can we demand anything be done about this with such short notice?
If so it's under 12 hours and I doubt if there is anything that can be done. Has your return time also changed?
I would try and think positive in that at least you will arrive at your destination earlier.
Is the flight near to your wedding day?
I guess they make a great saving as presumably no wanted the 6.15 am flight so they bought that one and cancelled their own flight Grrrrrrrrrrr!
Ouch so in effect you are having your wedding day then have to be at the airport for 4.15am
They dont mention the return flight so I assume that is unchanged.
I am in floods of tears here as it seems there is nothing I can. I am sure the other 1,000 customers effected are not happy also. My husband to be is going to go mad when I tell him. I think Thomson are trying to kill us.
You could always contact them, explain, and see if there is an alternative.
I have just got off the phone from them. They say they cant offer me an alternative.
Just think, you will be in Italy in time for your morning coffee!
You might need to be at the aiport for check in a little earlier than 2 hours prior to departure - security checks do take a little longer nowadays.
Best wishes,
Pippa
If there's nothing can be done about it, just try and keep thinking of positives.
It won't ruin your wedding day, I'm sure it will be every bit (and more) as wonderful as you have ever dreamt.
Congratulations in advance by the way.
This link will take you to reviews of your hotel.

It really is not good though....Husband to be is asthmatic and has attacks really easily if he doesnt get any sleep! We have paid out a lot of money for a posh honeymoon suite that we would not even drive too from the wedding reception Cant cancel it lose all the money
I really am so very gutted/angry and disappointed. You only are meant to do this once.. its a girls dream day gone up in smoke
Could you not cancel your Thomson flights, get a refund, and rebook better timed flights?
I notice that Easyjet have flights one way for £26.99 + tax at 17.30 on 19th May from Gatwick.
BA economy flights are not great but you can get £228 return on the Saturday for Business Class with better flight times??
You'll have to ensure that you can get your flight money back, if you explain it's your honeymoon / wedding, i'd like to think they would be helpful.
Good luck!
P.S Sorry, i'm rubbish on Europe - I presume your hotel is in Venice?!!
Im not sure where I stand - I dont think I will get a refund at all. They said (I think) it was upto me if I cancel but they would charge full price. I will check with them.
Have you booked a package holiday with Thomson? ie flights and accommodation?
Yes flights and accomodation.
So really you are tied to the holiday. I'm very sorry but because it's a flight change of less than 12 hours I don't think there's anything you can do. However, it would be worth maybe giving Ros Fernihough a call on 01922 621114. Ros is a travel law lawyer and will offer you free advice.
Thanks
Thompson have ruined your wedding night, plus presumably you will lose all the money on your honeymoon suite in the UK.
Re travellingsams advice.
It might be worth seeing if you can get cheap flights at a better time with EasyJet or BA. Could be chepaer than losing your honeymoon suite (and less emotionally upsetting), but I would advise you tell Thomson if you do this as they need to know that you still want the hotel.
Ask Ros' advice as to if she thinks that would be OK because they might have you as a 'no show' if you don't turn up for their flights.
I'm sure every other aspect of your Wedding and honeymoon will be fantastic, try not to let Thomson spoil it for you. Good Luck.
You really need to speak to Ros as suggested. She will tell you your rights and also advise you what to say to them.
Good luck

Got a phone call at 5.00pm on the Thursday before our wedding, which was on the Saturday, that our accommodation was overbooked (despite booking months earlier) and so offerred us alternative accommodation. This was not acceptable, so cancelled, and spent the day prior to our wedding trying to book an alternative holiday for our honeymoon on what was a busy bank holiday weekend.
I have never trusted holiday companies or tour operators since.
