Those cheap aegean flights that we all booked!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr came home to a letter today saying I've been moved to the new xl flight from Glasgow to Dalaman. Instead of flying home on the Sat night at 5pm I am now flying home at 6am on the Sunday morning. This is a bloody nightmare, we'll have 5 kids with us

Have Onur Air bought over XL or something? I don't really understand this. I'm even more worried because XL cancelled all their flights from Glasgow to Dalaman last year and whats to stop it happening again.

Means we'll have to book 15 nights in resort now instead of 14, no way can we cope with all those kids without a room from 12noon the previous day. I'm really angry and if we hadn't got them for such a bargain price I certainly wouldn't be going. In fact I'm still quite tempted to cancel!

Has anyone else been affected or just the Glasgow flight?

Ive checked mine by viewing booking on their website and at the moment they are still showing the same times and airline . also if I try to book them they are still showing the same .

Our flight is booked to fly back at 5am anyway and we will have 2 kids with us. I havent booked accom yet and was planning to book 15 nights so we can have the room until we leave. Will be gutted if they cancel the flight completely though, we are flying from Cardiff. I think we should be ok as we're flying in August, the flight would cost us £600 more if we booked now, so I'm happy as cost was a major factor.

The letter was waiting for me yesterday when I got home from work.We'll have an 18 month old with us so should be fun but there's no way we could get cheaper flights now.Hopefully she'll sleep on the plane on the way there

My outbound flight has been changed to 22.55 from 20.45 (glasgow dalaman) but luckily our return to Edinburgh is still due back at the original time 18.40 It is only the glasgow one that is now xl the inbound is still showing as Onur air So I have my finger crossed that it stays that way. I feel for those returning to Glasgow thoughl

Spoke to Aegean today as I was worried about my Newcastle flight. They told me only 2 flights were affected and the rest were still OHY flights.

so far i think its mostly glasgow is effected think that the package hoildays are getting the good flights so to speak Im saving £400 with booking the cheap flights so booking an extra night hasnt blown the buget but has upset plans slightly

Those cheap Agean flights that we booked

I personally hate night flights,always said never again!!,but we got our flights so cheap for next summer with Agean I can live with it.Our pick up will be about 12.30 am so we booked extra night price at our apartments for £15,so we will now have a full day around the pool and a meal out in a nice restaurant,I love Turkey!! and never want to come home.Roll on next June,and we have booked for 3 weeks this time

It seems to be the later in the year flights, as ours from Glasgow in September changed however this was lucky as I didn't need them so could cancel with no bother of trying to sell them to someone else

When i was on the phone the May flights are still the same and haven't changed to them nasty flight times - fingers crossed they stay that way!

We have just found out that our flight with agean has changed from the 17th may to the 16th this is from newcastle.we have our accomadation booked from the 17th ,now we are trying to change it .The transfers are booked so lots to sort.The letter says it is all the newcastle flights that have changed to fridays .Has any one else had this happen.sue

yeah we had a letter from aegean flights this morning telling us our flights had been moved from sat 31st may to fri 30th may we to have to rebook our hotel and transfers,a bit gutted because our flight was due to go from newcastle at 10 00 am now its 10 pm friday night and with three kids flying through the night is something im not looking forward to.

I have just contacted med hotels and they have been very helpful and we have got the hotel changed to check in a day earlier .just got transfers to change now.We were gutted at first but now we got the accomadation sorted feel better and the flight home is at four thirty in the afternoon which is better .sue

Greetings . We have been notified by Aegean that they have changed our airline company from ONUR air to XL airways for 31 may ex Glasgow to Dalaman . Date is the same though times slightly later , have they fallen out with ONUR ? regards wee-john :?:

We have also just received a letter from Aegean changing our Newcastle flights from a Saturday to a grotty Friday night flight. It makes you wonder if they wait until the flight is well booked and then change it. Not very impressed at all. However one email to ICR Travel and they had changed my hotel booking in an instant so it wasn't all bad.

John, I had the same change going out from Glasgow on 28th June, I've got a topic on here somewhere called "those cheap aegean flights we all booked". The lady on the phone basically made out to me something about there being too small a plane put on and everyone had to be moved to xl"

Hi we going 23rd June from newcastle and had 9 am flights going out and 16-30 flights coming home with thomas cook, staying in Icmeler, the flights now 19-40 going out and 3-40 am returning . Very dissappointed, as were a party of 11 including 30 month old twins and an 11 yold. WE were offered the choice to change holiday, but with what we pay'd (1400) for 2 adults and 1 child A I We would have had to downgrade to b and b or something, they did offer us a £88 discount per cpl .

Hello

You could ask the travel agent to try and get you onto the XL flights there are good day time flights.

Or even the Agean Flights from Teeside the outward flight leaves at 20.20 and the babys would sleep most off the way

The return flight is a day time one which would be better at least you are not getting the babys settled on the night of your return with Thomas Cook flight then having to wake them up to travel.

If not take the discount that there are offering and book a extra night in hotel directly not through travel agents as it will be a lot cheaper you doing it yourself that way you keep your room until the moment you leave.

Which hotel in Icmeler are you staying at ?

Hi everyone,
Not only has my flight been changed but the airport too. Should have been 11/08/08 @7.00 to dalaman from liverpool, it is now .09.30 from Manchester. So thats another £60+ on the top of the holiday for the trip to manchester airport as I live in Liverpool.
