Just got a great deal for a last minute jaunt.
Never been to the island before, but a seasoned traveller, with an open mind.
The thing is accomodation is allocated on arrival, anyone any idea where we could end up?
travelling with Thomsons.
Are there any other do:s and donts whilst there?
many thanks
Kenny.
There are several tips for first timers, try and explore the island, it will surprise you! Try to learn a few words of Spanish, you will be surprised how well it is recieved. Try tapas.
The clubbing season is over now, but the island will still be busy, also Pacha in Ibiza Town is open on Fridays and Saturday nights all year around. All other clubs are closed though.
Don't even talk to the "lucky lucky" men that protrol the beach fronts. They are conartisits, thieves and often drug dealers to boot.
Hope you have a great holiday!
Should have said we are a bit old for clubbing, but San Antonia will do although i would rather be put somewhere else,I speak Spanish so no problems there, funny when you state you are a serving police officer the conmen shoot off.B ut i will still be aware ,thanks for the warning.Been on mainland Spain loads but not on the island so looking forward to another adventure.
thanks for your time once again.
Kenny.
If you get chance, wherever you end up, get a car and get out and about around the Island. There is so much more than pubs.clubs and beaches.
Thanks folks, think that will be the plan, love to get out and about and see whats there,it looks pretty simple to criss cross over the island from coast to coast, and with plenty of towns to visit im sure we will have a good time.

thanks for your replies.

You should try Ibiza Town marina one evening and explore the all night market they have! I am sure you will love it, there are plently of places to eat and drink in the Spanish old town. Also have a wander up to Dala Villa which is which the Ibiza Town fort, its very steep so have your walking feet on, but well worth it, it's mostly very small closed in residential streets which in its self gives you a fantasic flavour of the island, however it also gives you some outstanding views of the coast line and there are some very good, very local places to eat, which I am sure as a Spanish speaker you will enjoy in particular.
I hope you have a fantasic time!
Really looking forward to going now, just need a break and away from work for a week.
Thanks for your replies and tips, will post how it went on our return.
Adios,
Kenny.
