Researching a recent cruise I came across this website
http://www.tomsportguides.com/
It is complied by an American seasoned cruiser and is crammed with downloadable (free) pdfs on loads of ports around the world. Each pdf (or at least the ones I printed off) are packed with useful details, maps, photos and information. Some of the details such as prices of entry may be a little dated but otherwise I found them very useful.
Some pdfs are 50 pages or more so you may want to read onscreen and print selected pages.
Used them for a while now. They are very good.
