hi, we are fancying fuengirola next summer for our 2 week holiday and a lot of the private rentals are in the torreblanca area, I was wondering if it would mean a hike into fuengirola itself or would los boliches be a better choice ?
any suggestions much appreciated !

Hi Juby. My wife and I had a two-month stay in that area last year and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. There is no shortage of bars and restaurants, while the supermarket (Supercor) at Los Boliches is tremendously well stocked, with good prices, too.
Although the walk to the "biz" of Fuengirola, say the port, will take all of 45 minutes, taking the train from Los Boliches or Torreblanca station cuts that down to five minutes at most.
I'd say the Los Boliches area of the resort has become the nicest, and most fashionable to stay in, and that is why three of the best hotels - the Yaramar, Angela and Confortel - have been built there.
If it was a toss-up between Fuengirola itself, Los Boliches or Torreblanca, I'd opt for Los Boliches every time.

any suggestions for days out ? we will be with our 7 yr old daughter.

Hi Juby. I'm sure your young daughter would enjoy a trip to Gibraltar and a chance to get up to some monkey business with the Barbary Apes there. Another "must" trip would be to Fuengirola Zoo, and there's the amusement park, Tivoli World, where you can also take the cable car to the top of the Calamorro mountain.
There's a bird sanctuary there and your daughter can have her picture taken with a Golden Eagle on her shoulder!
Paloma Park, down the hill in Benalmadena, is another enchanting spot for youngsters of every age.
Hope this helps. Tony.

Hi Juby. I think hubby will love the Mijas Aqua Park in Fuengirola, especially the Kamikaze ride. There's a discount available if you check out this website link.
