its right opposite the gardinia park hotel,short walk downhill to beach,near torreblanca train station(that is steep if you take shortcut,flattish if yo go longway round)

its a quite old complex,but it got done up about 3 years ago(the outside),1 restaurant(strawberrys,supposed to be ok) and a bar that is ok(been there)
3 mins walk to calypso bar,great people watching place

all in all ok close to sea front but a long way from proper shops,5 mins at least to nearest supermarket and thats a grockle(holidaymaker) one if you can find it(by rovers return)

you would need transport to the nearest proper supermarket about a mile away

but as i said plenty of bars and restaurants within 5 mins walk

sorry got complexes mixed up,rio del sol is about 200 yards from the one i was thinking of(riviera) so all applys apart from the doing up bit

and add a couple of minutes to the walking time

Thanks for that Gillian, I've stayed at the Gardenia Park, about 5 years ago, so I have a fair idea of the area (memory not so good lol) and if I remember rightly we used to come out of the back of the hotel, through the gardens, and that brought you on to the coast road.
I'm assuming then that the complex is opposite the front of the hotel?
OH has breathing problems, so hills are a no no I'm afraid.

yes opposite,about 600 yds walk tho,just a small incline and you were right about the gardinia park,has entrance that goes to beach

There is quite a steep approach to Rio del Sol, less so going round the long way, so not recommended for the short of breath or stiff of limb, but once installed there, its an oasis.
